Substitute Bosch 35 mm Anti-static hose for Festool 36 and save 50%.

I bought this anti-static hose for use with my Festool CT vac and Oneida Dust Deputy Ultimate, a combination for which anti-static hose is critical. Although the comparable Festool hose is listed as 36 mm and this Bosch as 35, the Festool nominal 36 fittings fit it perfectly. And I experience no problems whatsoever regarding static electric build-up. The Festool 36 × 5 m hose costs $185; the Bosch 35 × 5 cost me $90.

For use with Festool, you must buy a Festool D36 Rotating Adapter ($25) for the vac end. The Bosch tool end will fit inside the Festool tool ports, but I replaced it with the Festool D36 Reducer ($24) for use with chop saw, table saw, etc., since the Festool has a bigger opening designed to fit around these tool ports.

I bought 5 m hose so I could cut off a short piece for dedicated use with my chop saw and still have a serviceable length left for use with hand tools, etc.

Even adding the cost of the Festool fittings, this Bosch hose saved me a lot of money and performs perfectly.

Bought for my Festool track saw

I bought this hose because I did not want to pay the price Festool wanted for a 5 meter hose (around 16 feet). Once I got it I went to Rockler and bought a connector for the tool side and one for the Festool dust extractor side which another reviewer did too. Total cost around $150 where the Festool version was over $300. The difference is color of the hose but they work exactly the same. I have been very pleased with it so far.

Save $ and buy this

I followed advice of others on Amazon and bought this anti-static Bosch hose for use with my Festool CT vac for $95 versus $191 for the Festool 5 meter x 36 mm hose. I took off the Bosch vacuum cleaner adaptor and replaced with a $26 Festool D36 Rotating Adapter to fit the Festool CT vac. I've left the adaptor other end on for now since it fits my both my Bosch miter saw, and my Sawstop job site table saw with a $4.49 Bosch VAC004 2-1/2 Inch Hose to 35mm Dust Hose Port Adapter. It will fit Festool ports since there is only 1 mM difference in size of parts made from flexible rubber, but if you are really pick you can replace the other end with a Festool D36 Reducer ($24).

Even after adding all the fittings you save a lot of money and everything performs perfectly.

Just arrived yesterday and it couldn't have come at a better time. I had about 4 hours of sanding to do for a few custom tables I had built and it gave me the perfect opportunity to break in the new hose. This product is long enough to allow movement around a work piece without moving your vacuum (and in my case, vacuum and dust deputy on a 10 gallon steel drum) every time. One of the best benefits I noticed was weight reduction from my old hose to this model. Less weight = less fatigue when working for long periods of time. Static was not an issue even though fine dust was traveling through the hose for 4 straight hours of operation. Seems like it will be a lasting product and will hopefully prove worthy of the price tag even more so than it already has on day 1. Highly recommended to anyone that may be in the market.
