This is a very pretty set and affordable BUT...BEWARE. Lenox says it is dishwasher safe. They lie. I put the pot in the diswasher to remove the tea stains(all alone on the top rack with reservations) It turns out I was right....The butterfly wings fell off from the dishwasher spray. It was not roughly handled or in a place that anything could have touched it but water. Lenox by the way DOES NOT warranty it for falling apart when used as instructed and stands by the "dishwasher safe" label. It will cost $30 to replace the pot under their 50% off breakage warranty and they won't sell you a lid only.

It is beauiful...but the lid has a odor that has not washed out. The bottom has a small air hole, (I reckon for firing) that gets water trapped inside the enter wall, I have found it hard to drain and leaks as your using it. I wish it had been 16oz too.

The perfect tea set for Grandma and her favorite granddaughter. The cups are adult size, even Grandpa and Grandma could share this set. Using this lovely set brings to mind the outdoors and spring with no insects buzzing about.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND, if you're a tea drinker.

Beautiful to look at but there is a wide lip around the top that does not allow you to drink out of the cup with out using the lid.
Also the first time I poured hot coffee into the cup it cracked needless to say it is not good for hot beverages.

Style Name: Travel Mug
I bought three of these, two "Butterfly Meadow" and one "Comfort and Joy". They are gorgeous. That being said, there are a few things you must keep in mind when using them. First, I must stress that this is NOT a mug that you add hot liquid to. Trust me, it WILL crack . This mug is for reheating cooled liquids in the microwave, so they are not really "travel" mugs that you refill with piping hot 7-Eleven coffee. Your best bet is to heat up the water in the microwave, then add your instant coffee, sugar, cream, etc. If I want fresh brewed coffee, I fill the mug up about 1/3 of the way with cool water, brew the coffee espresso strong,then add some of the coffee slowly to the water to fill up the mug then reheat it in the microwave.

Second, the silicon top needs MAJOR improvement. It does have a smell but with a couple of washes in the dishwasher it dissipates. It does not fit snug so the mug leaks when you drink from it. How did I solve this problem you ask? Simple...rubber bands. 1 or two rubber bands under the lip of the mug as close to the edge as I can get it. It fills up the gap between the mug and the lid (sometimes. Try and get it really, really close to the edge of the mug). Just remember to remove them when you wash the mug.

All in all, with what I described above, I don't totally regret my purchases. Even if I didn't use them for coffee, they would make cute vases.

UPDATE: I just tried the Comfort & Joy mug this morning and there does not appear to be any problem with the lid fitting properly. So I tried the second "Butterfly Meadow" mug that I bought and there is no leaking with that one either. So I am under the impression that the first mug that I reviewed above might have been slightly irregular. I might try and see if I can find a tighter silicone lid at my local housewares store. If not, as I said, they make cute vases.

Style Name: Blue Butterfly Cup and Saucer Set Verified Purchase
I recently bought the Lenox Butterfly teaset - the one with the teapot and two teacups, saucer, etc. However, I wanted more than two teacups, so I looked on Amazon and lo and behold, it turns out that Lenox produced six teacups to match, each with a different pattern. These are six individual patterns that match the plate collection - Fritillary, etc. The two teacups from the teaset match and are completely different, with a very subtle pattern. Anyhow, these teacups are perfect, they are big enough for a proper drink of tea, dainty enough to be feminine, and the different patterns make them collectible. Also, they are no longer available anywhere else, I guess they are part of some old edition.

When I opened the box, my first impression was the tea pot is pretty big than I expected. You may fill at least 6-7 cups of water. The tea cups are the right size, though. Overall, I liked this tea sets.
