A must for anyone using puzzle style foam mats to create a large workout area, the 4" width makes them unmovable and as a secondary effect, the backside of the tape helps stop mat slide on the concrete floor underneath the mats.

I purchased 4 smaller (5' x 4', if memory serves) Dollamur Flexi-Roll mats for light/moderate home use (BJJ and wrestling for me; TKD for my kids; general exercise for my wife). I purchased this tape to attach them when necessary.

I currently keep 2 of each of the mats permanently taped together with this tape. It is very durable (haven't needed to replace the tape in several months, given our relatively light use) and matches the texture of the mats well. When I connect the two larger mats together, the tape does a great job.

I opted for the 4" width just to be safe. It works great; you might be able to get away with 3" for a similar use, but will probably buy 4" again when I need to (although I still have plenty of roll left).

This tape reminds me a lot of HS wrestling mat tape...from a long time ago. ;) It does its job well and reliably.

This is good tape and there's plenty of it for the price. I recommend not to buy a fancy colored tape because they come in much smaller rolls and are really expensive.

Do you have worn away edges on your mat? That's what I had. I got help from a couple others andwe all got sweaty because this is physical work since our mats weigh 100 lbs each.

To cover the worn edges we used regular inexpensive duct tape all the way around. This barely folds over the edges, protruding only a little on each side of the collegiate wrestling mats. The duct tape completely hid the worn edges and made the mats look clean and neat.

Next we covered the edges all the way around each mat with this Gamecraft tape. So the Gafecraft tape covered the duct tape, and the result looks truly clean and nice. Glad we didn't try to buy expensive tape that has the same color as our mats.

This Gamecraft tape is the real thing. It seals up and stays on the mat as only a specialized mat tape can do. When applying it, do so tightly so as to reduce air bubbles. The tape is so wide that air bubbles would be impossible to totally get out, so put the tape down very tightly and patiently, not quickly but with care.

It's a good buy.

this ripped my squishy foam exercise mats all up. even the areas that weren't pressed down to make them stick. obviously this tape was not intended for yoga mats or exercise mats. sad. :-( anyway...if you are thinking of taping typical exercise mats together....it will rip them. i'm pretty sure this would rip the puzzle piece type mats up too. :-/

We use this to hold mats together for our Jujitsu practice; it has never failed. It doesn't leave any residue on the mats, and goes on and off very easily. The mats stay completely attached and stationary. One roll can last a few months if you reuse each strip multiple times. We've never had to throw out a strip because it was no longer effective - only when it started looking dirty from dust/other.

Compared to other mat tapes I've used this one is somewhat thinner, but it does the job of keeping my wrestling mats taped together for long periods of time. I just prefer other brands I've used that are thicker and more durable when re-rolling it so I can use the same strip of tape again later.

We bought it to hold mats together, but ended up using it to cover spike tape on a stage floor -- and it worked perfectly for that (our director decided we should use black gaff tape for the mats - the tape worked great on the mats, it was just an aesthetic preference for the director).

We needed tape to hold together our floor mats in our TaeKwonDo dojang. This tape is easy to put down and easy to use, but tends to pull up after a few weeks of wear and tear. Not a long term solution.
