I am an aircraft mechanic so I look at tools differently, since I make my living with them quality is the first thing I look for. I purchased this set for home use, my short home set is Snap On. You might think Allen wrenches are all the same, I did until the Snap On set removed a screw that an off brand would not grip and remove. To the eye both sets looked the same.

I needed a long set so I looked at all the reviews and I liked these because they have 5 star reviews and are made in the USA. For home use these are well made and the longer handles provide leverage for stuck screws and longer reach where necessary. The 3/16 works perfectly for the AR 15 pistol grip screw. With the nice holder these quality tools are good for home or work.

Don't look anywhere else if you are looking for a compact portable set of hex keys. I carry around a tool bag all day and have tried other brands. This set is compact and the case is a superior softer plastic that gives but holds the wrenches in place for many uses before getting loose. Too many other sets have decent wrenches but large bulky or poorly designed cases and are a poor choice for someone who drags a tool bag around all day. The last thing I need is to spend a bunch of time looking for a wrench that fell out of the case or putting multiple hex keys back in place after they fell out.

I use Eklind hex wrenches at work and at home. They cannot be beat.

This set of hex wrenches has all the popular sizes for working in a machine shop and fixing things around the house. The wrenches are made of touch steel and do not wear out. The long handles provide plenty of torque for busting the tightest bolts and cap screws loose. They come with a handy holder that keeps the wrenches in place. Even the small wrenches stay in place. The case is red in color. Red signifies standard wrenches and blue signifies metric wrenches. The holes in the case are clearly marked for easy identification on wrench sizes. These hex wrenches are a great value. They are well made and nicely priced.

The Eklind standard and metric sets are my favorite for Allen wrenches. The best feature is the compact case that securely holds the wrenches. I have used other brands in my travels as a service engineer on ships but the Eklind case lasts for years before the wrenches start falling out in my tool bag.

Better than craftsmans and other Allen wrenches. I use this set everyday, sometimes hammer them in place on burnt heads. I think they are pretty good, but they might be 22nd best to Bundhouse

Highly recommended you purchase both the metric and the standard sets for your tool kit.
