This bad-boy can handle one, maybe even two utensils at once. It's wild when you get up to over 8 ounces of weight on it. It's crazy because it can handle probably another 3, maybe even 6 ounces. If I was a spoon, this would be like living in a Hawaiian condo.

We have Fiesta pieces in Lapis as accents in our kitchen, and we needed a spoon rest, so this seemed like an obvious choice. It looks nice enough, but it's very small, especially the spoon part. A lot of times what we need to rest is a spatula, or multiple large stirring spoons if we have more than one thing on the stove. In retrospect I'm thinking it might have been better to get the Fiesta soap dish to use as a spoon rest.

Great quality, rich color, nice resistance to chipping. Stands out nicely in a bland apartment kitchen and there are many matching pieces available.

I grew up fairly close to where I think these are still made and they're still some of the best.

If it's Fiesta, it's a given that I love it. It's also a given that it will never see the inside of my dishwasher. Dishwasher are handy, but they fade gorgeous colors. And yes, I cringe every time an assistant sets a cooking implement down on this spoon rest, but I don't need to. This is well made and I can't say enough good about how well-made Fiesta is. Buy one! You'll love it.

I use it on my kitchen counter to host a small scrubbing brush, with a handle. I have some other Fiesta items close by, one to hold sponges and the other to hold a copper scrubber. They all go together quite nicely. I have a butter dish as well, but that is kept in the refrigerator. I would buy more items like this if I can find a use for them.
