I used this for a turkey weighing just under 14 lbs. It fit easily, and the rack could probably accomodate a 16 lb bird. Note: position/balance of the turkey on the rack is important -- to prevent a hot bird from unintentionally slipping off the rack when lifing it. Do a "test-lift" BEFORE placing in the roaster and adjust the position as necessary.

I can't use this product because when I put the turkey on it, it won't fit in my oven. I would warn anyone to check the size of their oven before purchasing this item.I never thought my oven was too small before. I wish I could return it but I don't have the packaging.

I purchased this item to use on the turkey that I roasted for dinner, this past Thanksgiving. It's well designed, and sturdy enough. I used it on a 14 lb bird, and would not necessarily think that it would work for a very large turkey. But for this size, it made it very easy to lift the turkey out of the roasting pan, without a problem. The chrome finish is heavy, and the rack washed easily. Very satisfied.

In the first place I do NOT like turkey, so my wife cooks it to perfection, so I will eat it. She cooks it to "fall off the bone" tender. As a result, it becomes an unsightly (but very good) unorganized pile of turkey to get out of the roaster. This gadget keeps everything together, and allows a nice presentation at the table, without burned hands, arms, and mess. Good buy.

The lifter worked OK for lifting the turkey out of the pan, but not as well as I had expected. The main reason that I am unhappy with this item, is that even when the handles are folded down, they are still too high for the pan cover to fit properly.

The handles are too long to be able to put a lid on the roaster. I have 2 large turkey roasters with deep lids to fit a 23 pound turkey. One is an electric Nesco and the other goes in the over. Neither of these would allow for a lid to cover the bird due to the handles being too long and not folding down far enough.
