Very easy to put together. We will see if it holds up to the kids pulling on it when getting the balls down. Seems to be durable enough though so far. I wish it came with somewhere to hang skateboard because that doesn't fit but Good buy, just wish I ordered two!

After installing this a second time (the first one broke during careful construction but Amazon replaced it quickly), I can say that this unit is useful but of questionable durability. The first unit snapped when I was tapping it together with a rubber mallet. The second unit has already had two of the four external hooks (the "U's" that face out laterally from the top) snap off. The price is good and the space is very functional and usable but be prepared to be very careful during construction and don't expect those outside hooks to last very long. It is plastic -- but it's also intended for holding sports equipment (not china) so it's a disappointment that it is not sturdier.

It functions s as designed. When I took it out of the box, I was surprised and disappointed. It is much bigger than it looks on line. That is not a bad thing. It did require me to find a different space for it than I originally intended. When laid the pieces out it reminded me of a shoe rack that I purchased from Wal Mart a few years ago. I had to get rid of it because the snap together bars that form the rack kept coming apart. The maker included literature of its other products which include as you may have guessed, shoe racks. Assembly is simple and straightforward. It has metal rods that form the racks that snap into plastic brackets on both sides. I am not fund of snap together shelving due to my shoe rack experience. Not surprising, I had a little trouble with assembly. You are required to lay it on a hard surface and tap the rods into place with a hammer. This can be problematic. If you don't use enough force, the rods pop out of place. If you use too much force you risk damaging the plastic grooves that hold the rods in place. After I got it together, I check to see if it was secure then moved it to my garage to look for a place to hang it. A couple of days later, I went to hang it and the rods began to pop out. getting them back in was difficult because I had already installed the plastic hooks on both sides. Recall, you have to lay it on its side to tap the rods into place. I had to remove the hooks which don't appear to be designed for removal. I broke on in the process. To their credit, I called customer service and had a replacement in less than a week. After I got it together I was finally able to install it. In is slightly crooked but barely noticeable. I recommend have a second person to spot you or use of a laser to make a straight line.Read more ›

This is a cheaply done system. Even if you hammer in the bars it's flimsy, the way the screws go into the thin plastic just isn't durable for kids. The concept is good but the materials need to be improved and the bars need to attach better to the rack. Very disappointing, and already in the trash.
