Found in bakeries everywhere, it's the perfect size, weight and feel for icing cupcakes and other tasks that require this size tool. As a professional pastry chef, I often have to use it for hours at a time. No brainer if this is the size offset you need. Don't listen to Suzy homebakers who think it's not big or stury enough. They have no clue. And I'm just a pastry chef, I don't represent Ateco!

A friend of mine recommended this as a tool for removing 3D Printed plastic parts from the printing bed. Good advice from him. The blade is quite thin, strong and the angle is just right for this use. The handle feels good in the hand as well.

PS.. get a 2nd one for food too... I love to cook, and will admit to using it for that as a test before dedicating one of them to 3D Printing. Works Great on removing things from pans, breaking loose bake goods, slathering on frosting (me want more...)....

I use it for:
frosting cupcakes and making them look adorable on the first try
smoothing frosting on sides of layer cakes without cursing all cakes everywhere
spreading masa on corn husks for tamales

I waited a long time to get one, thinking there wouldn't be a huge difference between an offset spatula and a flat one. but there is. huge. way more control, way less wrist contorting.

I'm 61 years old, never had a specific, off-set spatula like this for icing cakes. It works a lot better than a standard knife. I have iced 9X13 rectangular cakes and 9 inch round layer cakes with this. I like the length of this, it makes icing cakes easy. I think some of the longer length spatulas are more difficult to use.Well worth the purchase price.

I never owned one of these before and am KICKING myself for not getting one sooner. I used the back of a spoon or spoonula to spread stuff around while cooking and baking, this lil item makes it super easy to get perfect results fast. I find myself reaching for it all the time now. It is so cheap, pick one up and you'll see what I mean!

I ordered this spatula and a Wilton '9 inch' spatula together. They turned out to be the same size. I might have been satisfied if this had arrived alone, but next to the Wilton it seemed flimsy, and its handle isn't nearly as comfortable. Back it went.

Huh, never really knew this would be handy, but hey - this little fellow can be used for a lot! Peeling pan pizzas out. Frosting cakes. Getting under and flipping smaller or tender items as a spatula. Definitely a reminder that it is bigger than you think (you see a measurement of 4-something inches and think small, but the blade alone is nearly 5", plus the handle).

I love these "Icing Spatula" type tools for general "butter knife" duties. Great for spreading just about any topping, margarine, jelly, mayo, etc. Had one and lost it, so I looked on Amazon and found this one at a great price. The small size and flexible, offset blade is great for getting the last of the cookie butter off the edge of the jar.
