Top notch quality. I used it in making fondant for my grandmother's wedding cake and it worked like a charm. I did 8 batches of fondant with it and still had about a half a teaspoon left over. The flavor is nice as well. This is what you expect from a product with Wiltons name on it!!

I love Wilton products! Yes, they are pricier than others, but the quality is superior and with this being clear, it is so much easier to use in more recipes. With Wilton, when you order a flavored extract - you can have faith that the flavor is terrific! I'm so glad I found these here on Amazon, the price is so much better than I can find locally!

I have always used natural, imported vanilla extract so I was a little skeptical. It wasn't until I was making my own white buttercream that I finally broke down and tried the clear version. It works. The vanilla is good and rich tasting. I have always been a fan of Wilton products and will continue to buy them.

I needed this for a cake decorating class I took at Joann's. It has a good flavor but doesn't go very far AND is very expensive. I found clear vanilla extract in the grocery store for half the price. So, quality is good, but cost is too much for the amount.

Clear vanilla taste test of four top brands (mixed into basic white powdered sugar and milk "sugar cookie glaze" icing, which I use to ice cookies)

[1] Wilton - sweet one-note plain vanilla, with a faint chemical edge that tangs the back of my throat
[2] McCormick - thin one-note plain vanilla without any artificial extra dimensions or after taste, innocous. Like if the genuine McCormick vanilla had all but one dimension removed.
[3] Penzey's - I disliked - the best way I can describe it is a combination flavor with aspects of flower, artificial coconut-pineapple blend, and cheap mallow filled pastel coated easter candy.
[4] Watkins - tasted mostly of a strong filled out familiar vanilla with a second faint note of artificial toasted marshmallow - that artificial marshmallow extra is not something I want in anything I make

It came down to a VERY close race with McCormick and Watkins neck and neck, Watkins had a lot of points for its fullness in contrast to McCormick's thin plain simplicity, but in the end McCormick won because of what it did NOT have - no after taste chemical or otherwise, no non-vanilla flavor additions. It may be thin and simple, but it has nothing that takes away from the basic vanilla that it does have, and it doesn't even taste artificial. One pro, no cons.

This item is not pure vanilla extract. I did not want imitation vanilla extract. The description does not tell you that this is imitation vanilla. I am very angry. It was a waste of my time and my money. I really want to give it minus 7 stars. Amazon has the responsibility to make sure that the products are accurately described.
