This is a very basic pan (in fact you might be insulted after getting it) however due to its size and depth, it is perfect for making a large cookie. I did find that I needed to line the bottom with parchment paper and grease. It comes out perfectly and works very well as long as you follow directions and leave a gap around the edges before putting in the oven. I have used the recipe included which is also good but not as good as the Nestle Tollhouse recipe which also works well with this pan if you cut it in half.

Great pan, very simple but makes it nice for birthdays. My daughter will not eat cake so this has been a great thing to have for her birthday parties. I still decorate it, and it works great.

I would recommend to anyone who buys this to make sure you use non-stick spray on it before baking anything in it. I followed the directions on the paper that was attached to the pan when I got it, which says don't grease. Well I did as the directions suggested and my giant chocolate chip cookie was nothing but crumbs when I tried taking it out of the pan.

I am on my second attempt to create a heart-shaped Valentine treat with this pan. The first attempt, I followed the recipe and directions. I questioned whether or not the chocolate chip cookie would really come out by just greasing the pan with vegetable spray, as instructed, but pressed on. Usually I would line it with parchment paper. No dice. I finally got it out with a very long-bladed spatula and a lot of bad words. I checked the directions again, and thought maybe a brownie mix would work if I made a parchment "truss" to help it out of the pan. Greasing the pan before and inverting it as directions say does not seem to work. My brownie is wrecked. It's still a cute pan, but I wanted to give the treats as gifts, not have to give the pan as well. Though right now that doesn't seem like a bad idea..

I included a pic so everyone can read the package instructions. I wish I had known that it said "not recommended for use in dishwasher" when ordering. Otherwise good. Packaging also says "holds one package refrigerated dough" and "Discoloration may occur after cleaning or baking but will not affect pan's baking performance."

Yes, this pan is thin--- but that doesn't stop it from cooking properly- just follow the instructions!--- As a matter of fact I was told by my son-in-law that the one they got with my own chocolate chip recipe was the best "cookie" he had ever had. I made it a bit thicker - and I also tried the basic recipe on the back of the paper and it was good too. It's a cinch to make and quicker than dropping two dozen blobs on a cookie sheet and a whole lot easier to wash.

Every time one of us in the office has a birthday we always celebrate with a cake. When my colleague (who doesn't like cake, pie, or cheesecake) was about to celebrate hers, I knew I'd have to think outside the box to make her celebration special. Thanks to the Wilton cookie pan, a giant walnut chocolate chip cookie was the answer!

Pros:
- pan cooked the entire cookie evenly
- a quick soak easily washed away baked-on crumbs

Cons:
- two glue dots from the protecting paper remained after multiple attempts at removing them (reason for dropping a star rating). Used a circle of parchment paper beneath the dough as a precaution
- included cookie recipe is a little dry and could be a tad sweeter

After my husband said the cookie shop he worked at in college used the same regular cookie recipe for their cookie cakes, I used my go-to recipe in my second test bake, and the results were fantastic. I baked at the temperature indicated in my recipe (375 deg.) for 16 minutes. I topped with store-bought icing and sprinkles, cut slices with a nylon knife, and it was a hit!!

I never would've considered making a cookie cake as an option for someone until I saw this pan. Now, I can't wait to make it again! (Did I mention I've owned the pan one week and have already made four cakes?!). This pan is great, and I highly recommend getting one for your kitchen!

The trick to this is to use parchment paper and not grease of any kind or your cookie will be oily and not cooked well. Let the pan COOL before taking the cookie out!! Perfect chocolate chip cookie I made mine from "Nestle TOLL HOUSE tub" and it worked out fine!

The company placed the label glue right where the cookie is suppose to bake, yet nothing would remove it except a harsh chemical (goo) and then I had to wash it in the dishwasher, which I realize, you're not suppose to. Please @wilton think about it before you paste a label inside a baking tray!
