Nice appearance, but break easily

I received a box of these cases and about 20 out of 100 were broken upon arrival because they are so fragile. If they are handled carefully, they work well, but the hinges are easily broken. Unfortunately, not a lot of selection on Amazon for this type of clear CD case.

A good choice

I received them OK none broken or cracked. This price beats Walmarts price and these cases are as good as any slim cases I have ever used. I like the translucent back better than the black ones at Staples.

Very Disappointing!

Normally, Memorex jewel cases rate as one of the best cd/dvd cases out there. They are normally a lot better than Fellows or any of the other brands. Out of the 400 cases that I bought this time, at least 50 had broken pin hinges. And the cases did not seem to be as the same quality that I normally see in Memorex. I purchase at least 3,000 cases a year and the quality of this batch was really poor. I will not be making any future purchases from this supplier.

Great cases, bad shipping

The cases are great, slim and easy to use. However, I guess because I ordered two of these (200 cases) they sent them in the box they came in. So, there was no extra padding like there is when they pack the box for you. So, in all we lost about 20 cases to cracking and breaking. Since I had a project to do that needed 200 CD's, I didn't appreciate having to go out and buy 20 more at Staples!

Delivery in good shape

I spotted more than a few reviewers not happy about the condition of the item on arrival. They said so many cases came through broken and that made them think this was not an up-to-snuff product. Well, I can tell you mine came just fine...EVEN with one corner of the box mashed-in a bit. These are inexpensive cases, but there's not a thing wrong with that. That's why I got them...I don't want to spend a ridiculous amount for just some cases that are going to keep the dust of the disks. This isn't something "hefty" that you would want to use in a mailer package. But for simply ordinary use they are fine and not-a one was broken on arrival nor has one broken on me.

Memorex 32021992 Slim CD/DVD 5mm 100-Pack Jewel Cases

These cases meet my need for limited storage space. The drawback is they are very fragile. However, if you can find a low price on these cases replacing a broken case is very inexpensive. I plan on continuing to purchase these cases as long as I can find a low price.

Broken cases

This arrived with very little if any visible damage to the carton. When I opened the carton to start using the Cases it was a different story. It is a good thing they were cheap because I threw away at least a dozen right off the top for being broken.The cases are fine, if they aren't damaged, bit there are a lot of damaged ones in the carton. This is not the first time this has happened and the price almost makes it okay. Almost...

great, but be aware of 27% of jewel cases being broken

Just today I received this package of 100, 5 mm thick slim jewel cases from Memorex. I want to stress that I am very happy with them. They are slim, open easily, and do a great job. I wish to warn about the large fraction of cases that clearly had been damaged in shipping or at the warehouse. This package simply needs to be packed in something that protects the cases better than a paper liner for the package and the plastic wrapping around the package. I counted 27 (that is, 27%) of cases that were damaged. In most cases, it was one hinge that was broken. Less often, a non-hinge corner, or one edge of the case, was broken. Even with tossing these 27 cases, I still think these cases are a good buy and an excellent product. There just isn't that much selection for slim jewel cases to start with, and they're a real space saver over the standard 10 mm cases. So, if you need these, by all means order them, but be aware you'll have to spend several minutes inspecting them and tossing out some.
