This is the second pair I've purchased and am VERY happy with these! They clip on easily to my regular (or reading) glasses and give me a wide field of view perfect for reading those books who's type seems to be shrinking yearly... They work well with my no-line bifocals and it is such a joy to be able to read without holding a magnifying glass over the page. Also great for working on projects with detail work. I have severe astigmatism and highly recommend these to anyone with low vision.

UPDATE: WILL FALL OFF YOUR GLASSES EASILY! Be aware that you should put some 'heat-shrink tubing' on the little tabs that are supposed to hold these onto your glasses. The tabs have a covering that is too slippery to grip and hold well.

I did this with the first pair that I had & lost and they worked great until I lost them. I did not fix the second pair despite fiddling with them slipping down every so often (and they WILL slip down... often).

Long story short: Pair #2 just fell off my glasses, hit the floor and broke in half rendering them useless. The clear plastic is much more brittle than it appears so pair #2 is trash. The hinges didn't hold quite as well as the first pair either - just seemed more 'floppy/flimsy' though they did stay above my vision line when raised.

Yep - I just ordered 2 more pair as these are the strongest ones I can find to help w/ my astigmatism when reading but you can be sure that I will put some heat shrink on the grippy-tabs so these don't fall off!

This was actually purchased for my mother who has cataracts and just generally old & tired eyes. She's incredibly happy with it and finds it incredibly helpful when trying to read small print, and sometimes even the computer monitor. Excellent product for the price :)

These clip on your own glasses easily, and they flip up and out of the way easily so you don't have to remove them if you want to walk over to get a cup of coffee or look out the window. I wish they were a bit stronger in magnification, but they are a good product at a great price.

For the price these rate a 1 for the following:

THe all important clip that attaches to the glasses is
made of some cheap plastic.
Mine arrived broken on one side. As soon as I operated
the lever to open these so as to attach to my glasses one
of the prongs on one side snapped.
I did detect some 'stickage'
as I operated these but did not apply undue force whilst opening. I suspect
one of the prongs-pads had some residue on it that caused it to stick
somewhat.

After studying these for a few minutes I determined they are
unworthy of keeping as the plastic is not of the sturdy kind
but of some cheap material that is easily cracked/broken. Especially
if it is cold (say below 60F).

Amazon rates a 10 as I have the return labels in hand already for
a refund.

I'd not buy these if I was you. Look elsewhere. For the 12 bucks or so
you deserve a better quality item.

P.S. The magnification on these is very hard to detect. WIth my eyes and my
eyeglasses the focal range was about at 2 feet with perhaps an inch of usable
depth. The magnification was really useless IMO and even if they had not been
broken I'd have returned these.
Buyer would probably be better off going to local ChinaMadeMart and look
thru the selection of clip-ons there and find a magnification range they want.

This is the same 1.5X clip on that's sold for over $14.
Works great, people who ware distance glasses do not have to get another pair of reading glasses. Just clip this one on.

The only suggestion is if they could make it with thinner polycarbonate lens.

I have prescription glasses and have been told I need to get bifocals. I don't want bifocals; I don't read looking down. I bought some reading glasses and would place them over my prescriptions to read. This worked, but I knew that clip-ons would be so much better. I couldn't see my way to buying any and also paying for shipping. I'm a Prime member, and these Carson Clip/Flips seemed the right thing. Now my only problem was finding ones that weren't too strong. The others listed by Amazon actually state +3.00 Diopters and +4.00, but these didn't say anything and there isn't a close-up view of the packaging to tell.
I went to Carson's own website. They say these are +2.25 Diopters. I need +2.00, so these aren't too strong. I got them and love them.
