Well the boys are back, and they are better than ever! It is no wonder why they have always been my favorite band. It is very rare to find a band that cares so much about their fans, and their music, that they work their butts off to give us something new, and amazing every time. Some people, like the reviewer directly below me, are content with buying, and hearing the same songs over, and over, and over again. More power to them. Just stick to buying albums from bands that give you the same recordings of songs, with new arrangements throughout 5 different Greatest Hits albums. I will stick with Bon Jovi. A band that really cares about their fans.
I really wish I could have been at this concert. The songs sound amazing with their new direction. The picture quality is killer. The DVD comes with great extras including interactive poker with the band, and video of six songs performed live in concert in Hyde Park England. Their is also a 30 minute making of the concert, mini documentary. I can not rate this DVD high enough. Any true Bon Jovi fan will love this. Hell, anyone would love this! Rock on Bon Jovi!!!!!!!!!

If you want to see Bon Jovi in a relaxed, more intimate venue connecting with the audience like never before while performing a new rendition of some of their biggest hits, this is the DVD to watch! Jon's delivery in a crooner (à la Sinatra) style of some of his hugest hits like 'You Give Love a Bad Name', 'Livin' On A Prayer', 'Bad Medicine', and 'Keep the Faith' is nothing short of fantastic. He performs 'Last Man Standing', which until the release of Bon Jovi's new CD - Have A Nice Day - he had never performed live, with heart and soul. And his performance of an old, pop cover song - Sylvia's Mother - is the icing on an already very sweet cake!

The subtitle for this DVD should be "Leave your preconceptions at the door", because if you`re prone to putting Bon Jovi into the box of "metal/scream-yourself-silly/stadium rock ONLY" bands of "when I was a kid in the 80s" time, you`re sure to be disappointed with this DVD, as they have slowed down their anthemic hits to jazzy/bluesy rhythms, turning some of them (e.g., Livin` on a Prayer and It`s My Life) into ballads. I never cared too much about their big hits (though, I sure did like them when they played on MTV or radio) with screeching guitars and near-falsetto singing, so This Left Feels Right was something I approached with somewhat skeptical curiosity - will there be anything left to the songs once you take the noise off? Well, since getting that CD and truly being able to LISTEN and HEAR the song lyrics Bon Jovi music has turned out for me a pleasant surprise. So, I just had to have this DVD and I haven`t been disappointed by it since. In fact, it has turned me into a real fan of the band, which has meant going halfway accross Europe to their "Have a Nice Day Tour" (and, yes, singing myself silly to their "traditional" hit arrangements), laying my hands on most of their albums and rediscovering their music all over again. This DVD as well as the TLFR CD comes as close to having the band play an intimate show in your living room as possible. The band`s versatility and ability to change yet retain their distinction is what allows them to survive in this day and age when music is more a PR job than talent. A must-have for an intelligent fan!

I was one of the lucky few who was able to attend one of these special nights at the Borgata Casino in Atlantic City. One of only two performances ever of the acoustic reworked versions of old friends. While the album was innovative, the live performance was a revelation. In this intimate setting the lyrics become more meaningful. Bad Name becomes a bluesy steamy number for example. It's My Life a poignant ballad of hope. Jon had pulled two new songs off the album but they are here. If you are at all concerned and disappointed lately at the disposable nature of music today do not miss Last Man Standing. This song should be required listening for anyone involved in the music industry- Janet and Justin are you listening? If that wasn't worth the price of the DVD alone check out the cover of the old Dr. Hook classic Sylvia's Mother. This country rock version is soulful and passionate. An impromptu acoustic Love for Sale which happened the first night due to technical difficulties opened the set the second night and got the crowd going and it is included here. Other favorites not on the TLFR CD are also here such as Saturday Night and Misunderstood. The extra features all value. If you get the limited edition you get to play poker with the guys and if you win you get to see footage from their legendary Hyde Park Concert of 2003 which drew 92,000 people to the park on a Sunday in June. If you are poker challenged you can go right to the footage but playing with the guys is a lot of fun. Bon Jovi should be proud of this DVD- Tony Bongiovi, the director went out of his way to make this more than the usual concert DVD.

I totally agree with the people who liked this DVD. I had actually bought the CD by itself and liked it so much that I had to purchase the exported version with the concert DVD. NEVER a disappointing moment - Bon Jovi has never sounded (or looked) better, and their new versions of these songs that are so different than the originals, in my opinion, are brilliant. I agree that Jon's "Last Man Standing" which didn't come out until their box set, (which is awesome also), is FANTASTIC, and he explains why he wrote the song and then took it off this CD, and I also agree that the cover song they sang from way back when by "Dr Hook", "Sylvia's Mother", was done to Perfection - I just Loved it!

I've loved this band for 20 years (I'm 41 now), and I think they just keep getting better and all of their original ideas like re-writing many of their hits and their box set of mainly unreleased songs are not only unique, but it's a tribute to Bon Jovi's talent and genius as song writers and musicians, so Tons of Kudos to Bon Jovi... I can't wait to see you in Nashville in February! That'll be my son and me (he wants to see them as badly as I do) whoopin' and hollering from one of the first few rows- no matter what renditions of your songs you sing! And by the way, "This Left Feels Right" is one of my son's favorite CDs by them also - "Wanted Dead or Alive" is his favorite off the CD, but he loves the whole CD just as much as I do.

I wish I could have been at the concert featured on this DVD. It sure looked like everyone in the audience enjoyed the heck out of it! I know I did, and I only saw it on DVD! Just one thing that I don't understand- can anyone tell me how to get to the 2nd part of the set list?
