I have bought many spices from this company and all products have been excellent until now. As soon as I opened the package I knew that there was something wrong, I could not smell Cilantro at all. So I decided to put a large amount in some olive oil to "hydrate" it, I tasted, smelled, and tasted again I can not taste Cilantro at all. I use Cilantro all the time for my homemade Salsa, so I am very familiar with the spice. Maybe they put parsley in that bag instead? It could definitely pass for Parsley.

very economical! I got this organic dried cilantro to use along with taking clean chorella mainly as a detoxifier for the body to get rid of heavy metals. Great price. I priced organic dried cilantro at Whole Foods before buying this product and they were charging $5.00 for a small bottle of .78 oz. there, so I decided to buy this product. Not as much taste as fresh cilantro, but I make a good sandwich spread with it. I mix it with dried parsley, the dried cilantro, organic dulse, fennel seeds, olive oil, mayo, put it in the coffee grinder (the dried herbs before mixing with the olive oil and mayo) and then make a good sandwich spread. Spread on the bread, add a slice of onion, tomato if you like, whatever else (goes well with fish or chicken) and it makes a healthy sandwich. I keep it sealed in the fridge, so hopefully will keep it fresh longer. I think the fresh is probably a better option, but I figure after fresh cilantro travels to the grocery store and sits on the shelf and in a truck for who knows how long that it is probably not so "fresh" anymore.

The Good:
1. The source on the Frontier website for their 1 pound bag and small jar organic cilantro is US/Israel, so I am guessing this 1 pound bag also has the same source.
2. This is a big bag, it will fill about four, one quart mason jars even if you squish it down.
3. Fair price right now.
4. This does not have the bitter or skunky taste like convential Cilantro does have due to (IMO) pesticides and chemicals. This Cilantro does have a mild unique taste which is ok.

The Bad:
1. Packaging is aluminum or metal/plastic and is not resealable. The good news is that the foil type bag does not seem to leave fragments into the Cilantro when you cut it open.

Much better than grocery store price, looks and smells good, came quickly. I have used many Frontier spices and herbs in these vacuum foil bags in the past. When I open the bag, I put a small amount in a small glass jar on my spice rack, and put the rest in one or more larger, well-sealing jars in the pantry. It keeps fine for a long time.
