I really like the Waring blenders but I tend to go through them every 2 years. The motors burn out. The last 2 blenders I purchased had glass jars with the built-in blades. They were the BB 900 G model. Both of the blender jar blades came loose after making only a few smoothies! I had trouble tightening the blades so I ended up buying an extra jar to use!

When the blades came loose on the back-up jar I decided to buy a different model Waring blender - one where the blade assembly attaches from the bottom. I ordered the BB 150 based on customer reviews. The plastic jar it comes with is noisy and so large it is difficult to make smoothies. I purchased the glass jar recommended on the Amazon site. I also had to purchase the lid that Amazon recommended for the glass jar. The glass jar works much better than the plastic. It is smaller so my smoothies come out better and it is less noisy. The lid does not fit very well. It is not tight fitting and just "sits" on the glass just inside the rim. I keep my hand on top of the lid when using the blender.

The motor is more powerful on this blender and time will tell how long the motor will last. Because the jar comes apart I will not have to worry about the blade assembly coming loose in the future!

So far so good on this model.

The motor on this blender is good, I'm giving it two stars for the motor only. My problem is the top part is a piece of junk. It leaks around the shaft, so liquid drips out the bottom, getting into the hard to clean places around the motor. Also, when you turn on the blender and it has liquid in it, the liquid often splashes out through the lid, even though it is closed. So I have to put a towel on top of it. But it still leaks out of the bottom.

This is a very nice bar style blender. No bells and whistles, just low, high and off. Does a great job at making frozen style bar drinks, which is why we bought it. The base is very heavy and the switch is very industrial. This is obviously intended for heavy-use environments. Great product!

I have owned this blender for almost 20 years. It was great during that time and made us many frozen libations. The motor finally gave out and I am buying another one. Just a great, long lasting blender.

It has blended fruit, nuts, and cooked veggies nicely. . . for smoothies and soup.
The container is lightweight and easy to clean.
My only complaint so far is that I could not find directions for assembly. I looked on the Waring website, and there weren't directions in my box.

you kidding me! had this thing since 2003 used every night. just now started a very small leak (still useable ) from the blade shaft. ordered a new blade assb. hope to us it for 11 more years
