I bought this because it had the highest ratings at the time. It worked okay the first couple weeks, I used it 2-4 times a week. It was pretty weak but enough to get the job done. After a while it was acting like the battery was dying, it could barely move. I changed the batteries and it was STILL so weak that hitting the side of the glass would stop it. Couldn't be fixed, had to throw away.

After struggling with Aerolatte's cheaper model for over a year, I decided to upgrade to this model. Yes it has a stronger motor, but the case doesn't come apart to adjust switch contacts, which seems to be the weak link of these things. So after 9 months, mine will no longer switch on, Amazon will no longer accept return, & Aerolatte will only replace if I ship it back to them - in the UK - at my expense. Adding shipping cost, waiting time at the post office & customs paperwork = more trouble than it's worth.

Our aerolatte was pressed into domestic service to make froth for about 6 cups of coffee daily and it stopped working after only three months. The email address on the aerolatte 5-year guarantee policy is no longer in use and their web site doesn't accept product complaints once the boxes have been filled in. Their fax number listed on the aerolatte web site didn't connect despite many attempts. We bought a product with a 5-year guarantee only to discover that the company CAN'T BE REACHED, except when placing an order!?! In light of such poor customer care, I advise against buying an aerolatte product. As a byline, in 2007 we had bought three no-name China frothers at a very low price- they only lasted about 2 months each which is why we bought the "superior-original" aerolatte, which too, is JUNK.

Bad experience. Batteries would "wiggle" inside the battery compartment which made it operate incorrectly. I returned it and was left with the impression that the device had quality/design and manufacture problems.

I had high hopes based on the many many great reviews of this item. Once I received it I was surprised by the poor quality. It states in the discription that it was made of stainless steel (discription states: "Streamlined construction made from polished, stainless steel") but it's made of cheap plastic and even worse the buttons and the battery holder are of even cheaper plastic. My main button didn't even work well and I had to hold on to the battery cover.
I looks like something I would get at the Dollar Tree.
I had a feeling it won't last too long at my home so I sent it back just based on its constuction.

I have owned this for about 5 years. I use a stover top espresso maker which works about as well as electric steam type. I have found that the electric pump type that are less than $250.00 don't work that well, and take up too much counter space in a small kitchen. This does work, but I found something that froths milk much better than this and much faster.

Use a small Bodum 4 cup French Press. Put your milk in the French Press (not the same one you are making your coffee in. Get a second smaller one) and rapidly work the plunger up and down for about 10 to 20 seconds. You have frothier milk in less than half the time and you won't need to change batteries every two weeks.

This works amazingly well. We've used it for a poor-man's latte by microwaving milk, then frothing it to simulate steamed milk, then mixing it with various coffees. We've also used it to froth hot chocolate. Doesn't work that well for making whipped cream.
