Well crafted but just OK for cheddar

This is a beautiful knife and should last for many years. However, when used for its intended purpose, its wide blade sticks to cold cheddar cheese, making it require lots of downward pressure to cut through a block of cheese. Those intriguing etchings on the side of the blade don't seem to do anything to help this. Also, the sharp points on the end, which I assume are for spearing cut cheese cubes, are pretty intimidating and don't seem useful, just potentially hazardous.

Good, and good-looking cheese knife

The knife can be excellent, but some types of cheese do stick to it. Furthermore, it will not do well with heavy or harder types of cheese. Onehas to try various types of cheese, when one
finds those, one will have very fine dainty slices.
