Product Description

Amazon.com Product Description

Play your portable music player in the car without upgrading your in-vehicle stereo system with the Arkon SF250 Digital SoundFeeder. The wireless FM adapter is designed to transmit the music from a portable CD player, iPod, or MP3 player to an empty frequency on your FM dial. All you have to do is plug the SF250 into your player's headphone jack, and then tune the radio to any one of the eight supported FM stations (88.1, 88.3, 88.5, 88.7, 107.1, 107.3, 107.5, and 107.7 MHz). Once you find an empty frequency, the SF250 plays your favorite songs directly through your car's stereo speakers. The sound quality is solid and reliable, and the unit's Phase Lock Loop (PLL) synthesized circuitry ensures you won't have to deal with electronic drift.

Listeners can also use the SF250 on other radios as well, such as home stereos or portable boomboxes. And at a mere 2.25 inches wide by 3 inches deep, the Digital SoundFeeder takes up very little space, letting you store it in a cup holder, pocket, or other location. The SF250 runs for up to 60 hours on two AA batteries and boasts a transmission range of 10 to 30 feet, depending on conditions. It also comes with a 6.5-inch audio cord.

Product Description

Arkon's SF250 SoundFeeder Digital Wireless Stereo Music Adapter allows you to transmit the audio from any portable audio player to your car's FM radio in stereo! The electronics of the SF250 are based on Phase Lock Loop (PLL) synthesized circuitry. This technology allows you to tune in to a specific frequency, a definite advantage as you'll not have to deal with "electronic drift." The stability and performance of this device make the SF250 the perfect solution for nearly all of your portable audio adapting needs. Here's how it works! Simply plug the audio cord on the SoundFeeder into the headphone jack of your portable audio player. Then tune your radio to any of the 8 digitally tuned FM stations supported by this device. These include 88.1, 88.3, 88.5, 88, 7, 107.1, 107.3, 107.5, 107.7Mhz.Many competing products only offer 4 digitally tuned frequencies to choose from. The SoundFeeder SF250 has 8 thereby giving you twice as many chances of being able to find a blank station in your area.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good but not great, September 12, 2005
By Diggy (Bronx) - See all my reviews
I like it for the most part but the thing with it is that it goes thru batteries like water. 1 set of batteries may last a few days and as it is sucking power the reception to whatever radio you use gets weak. Also, I found out that while using the transmitter, your player has to be turned down or else it will overdrive the transmitter and the sound will be poor. You pretty much have to search for the balance between your transmitter and radio in order to get quality sound between the them.

5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT LITTLE ITEM!!, August 9, 2005
By hello (California) - See all my reviews
This fm transmitter is small, lightweight, compact, and works great!! Each of the 8 fm radio stations this transmitter uses come in as clear broadcasts so I was skeptical about how well it would work for me. I am pleasantly surprised. I get great reception. Once in a while when out of area I will have to change stations, otherwise no problem. At first I was looking for a static broadcast and frustrated at not finding one, I phoned customer support. They were very friendly and courteous. The wait was just a couple of minutes. Definitely buy this one!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Works like a charm !!, July 24, 2005
By B. Davis (Jackson, MS) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This little device was just what we were looking for! It transmits the signal very clearly. Our only complaint: It goes through batteries faster than we had hoped. It will be better for use in the car, on short road trips, than in the house for all-day use.
