Plenty of good clean power to run a small CB base station radio and a small 100 watt kicker and a small light at the same time. I have my Galaxy DX-959 radio hooked up to run as a base station radio per the above for an Emergency situation to communicate WHEN such an emergency happens here in Florida.

My small 1200 watt generator (very good on fuel) will run this unit, my radio, a small kicker, and a couple of lights so that I can get out to the next town (we are very rural here where I live) when I need to do so.

First one worked as long as you were transmitting below 10 W.
Looked like it might have been repaired when I took it apart and looked inside.
Socket on IC, second one no socket.

Second one works great, sent without any charge or having to send the original back.
There is some hum when on but not as bad as a fan running. No noise in any band as
far as I can tell.

Power connections are big long screws sticking out the back.
Nuts on power connections sort of hold everything together.
Plastic spacers keep power connections from touching the case.
One nut seems to act as a locking nut and you need to add two more to make a connection.
Loosening nuts loosens everything if you don't use two wrenches...(TMI?)
Seems sort of cheap and like an after thought.

I have had it running to power Ham radios for over 10 years. HF, VHF, and UHF; no problems with noise or heat stability. The power switch had to be replaced but that's it. I have not turned it off in 3 years. 4.5 out of 5. Would be perfect except for the failed power switch.
