I get good voice reports from those on the other end of the call, so the microphone itself is of good quality. I do like having the volume control on the line -- that is very convenient.

That said, this headset is not long-lasting. With enough rotations of the microphone swivel, the "teeth" eventually will eventually wear and file to engage, making the microphone flop straight down. It's not a bad headset for the money, but it is not very durable.

Works great. Been using it for almost a year. The mic isn't long enough to reach the front of your mouth so I have it straight out. No problems with that so far and nobody has complained. This doesn't work for both sides of you face. It works for the left side only. I purchased it with this http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002D41HKS/ref=oss_product so I could use it with my HP laptop, desktop and Iphone.

I was drawn to this headset because of the 2 ways to connect it to the computer. It is very lightweight and the price was great, and with Prime I was able to get it quickly with free shipping.

However, when I received it I found it to be a little more uncomfortable than a standard headset. Perhaps it's my head shape, but even though it is so lightweight it just feels awkward. The boom is adjustable.

On first use, the group I was talking to said I wasn't coming through clearly enough. After adjusting the boom microphone, there was no improvement. I switched the connection from the USB to the dedicated mic/headset connectors on my laptop. The group members said there wasn't much improvement, if any. While it still worked for my meeting, I get much better quality from my Logitech headset that I had used years ago when I had a Playstation 2!

If you just need a mic for one or two occasions, I would say you could get by with this. However, I would think anybody who needs a mic for repeated usage would have no problem throwing another $10-15 to the purchase to get a good one.

I wasn't looking for top-of-the-line at this price, and the sound is not hi-fi, but certainly good enough for what I wanted. I have made recordings from the mic, and the mic quality is better than the speakers. Speakers are fine for voice chatting and seminars, etc. These are the most comfortable headphones I own, surprisingly. Very happy with my purchase.
