Feed at least 2 or 3 times daily as much as your fish will consume within a few minutes. The metabolism of coldwater fish is greatly reduced as water temperature falls. Do not feed if the water temperature falls below 50 degrees F. Instead feed Tetra Pond Spring and Fall Diet.

My fish really seem to go for these pond sticks. They get soft pretty quickly when wet, which the smaller fish appreciate, and it seems to stay together well so it doesn't cloud the water. Wheat flour is listed first in the ingredients so it probably makes up the bulk of the food. It's not a high quality source of protein but at 43% I've seen some pretty good growth from it.

Don't know why this isn't on the product description, but for the hardcore folks:

My fish love all the Tetra koi foods.I have had a koi pond for over 19 years, and I have tried at least 15 different foods, but they like Tetra pond the best. I have noticed a size gain when using the growth food, it works without a doubt. The Tetra food does swell up, if its in the water for a while.
I usually give this in the summer when they can handle high fat and protein.

I have 5 koi and a bunch of goldfish. This floats on the top of the pond and can easily go right into the skimmer if it is not eaten. As it settles on the top, it tends to bloat/swell. My koi and other fish love it but the koi can overpower the smaller fish. I see much smaller fish nibbling but I don't know how much they are able to ingest. With the recommended feeding cycles, I have noticed a significant jump in size of the Koi. I haven't been able to tell a difference with the goldfish.

The color of the fish are vibrant but I have other food sources so it is hard to attribute this phenomenon to the food.

Overall, I am happy with the food for my koi.

I switched my Koi and Fancy Gold fish over to this Koi Growth from TetraPond Vibrance because I wanted the extra protein and fat so they would grow faster this summer. But they don't seem to like it as much and eat much less. I have an automatic feeder that I have had to dial way down, I'm not feeding one third of what I was before. They just won't hardly touch this growth food. So are they growing faster? Not!

As soon as this is gone, I will try to find a brand of growth that they like. I guess I will have to spend some time on a Koi forum to see what is working for them.

Mixed several types of 'tropical fish food' together and added a few Growth & Vibrance Koi sticks. The Koi sticks are their favorite food, snapped up first before anything else! Easier to find and eat than the other foods. Update 6/2/14: Koi and Cichlids all thriving on this, they are in excellent condition. Will take it right out of my fingers.

Okay, I have a 20,000 gallon koi/goldfish pond that I have been feeding Sho-Koi, Hikari and New Life Spectrum exclusively. Due to some formulation changes and price increases of my preferred food, I thought I'd give this a try...

Wow! The fish love this food, and I have had some 2" young koi grow to 6"+ in just the last month or so on this diet, and all of my fish just gobble this stuff up. I've noticed that when I feed them their 'normal' food, that they aren't very excited anymore.

I guess I shouldn't be so pretentious about the brand anymore, and feed them a food that produces results and good health, and if I save some money in the process, well that is an added bonus.

I'll be buying more Terta Koi food in the future.
