Thanks to my naturopath for introducing me to this fine line of supplements. After an overseas trip, i had recurrent digestive problems, burping and heartburn among other issues. The good ingredients in Acid Soothe and Digest really help.The company clearly marks ingredients on labels and packages them well. They are much easier on your system then perscription pill antacids or over the counter. Antacids do what they say; reduce the acid in your stomach. But it is a double edged sword, for without some stomach acid you can't digest your food, leading to more problems.
I recommended these supplements to my mother who has IBS, and they have helped her.

A few years ago I was told that my struggles with Acid Reflux could not be cured, but rather managed with drugs like Prilosec. I refused to accept this diagnosis and set out to do my own research. I discovered Acid Soothe, a natural digestive enzyme. Within one week of taking Acid Soothe daily the Acid Reflux was gone. That was several years ago. Since then, I keep a jar of Acid Soothe on hand just in case I feel a twinge of discomfort. I take two and am back to normal (and this is very rare now). I highly recommend this product.

I take these at night, before bed, especially if I've over-eaten, eaten something I know could be troublesome, or just eaten too late. They are about 99% effective in eliminating heartburn and, even more seriously, acid reflux. If I have neglected to take them for some reason and do start to get acid reflux, I can pop a couple in the middle of the night and 15 minutes later any problems have calmed down and gone away.

My acupuncturist suggested that the marshmallow root, which is the major herb in this formula, is the reason; apparently it reduces inflammation and 'soothes' tissue. As a matter of fact, she had given me some marshmallow root tincture for a sore throat and when I ran out I took some of these and they also worked. This formula is a little treasure, highly recommended. Maybe try it before going onto the harder, big-pharm stuff. I have NEVER needed any of that.

I use this frequently for acid indigestion. It seems to speed up digestion and ease that queasy feeling after eating something that just doesn't agree with a sensitive stomach. I always keep it in my medicine cabinet.

These Acid Soothe pills work for both my husband and myself.

We are taking one pill directly after eating a meal and instead of spending the entire evening passing gas and belching, feeling bloated, and occasionally experiencing reflux into the throat, we feel like normal human beings.

I'm so glad, because neither of us are interested in taking Prevacid or Nexium, and I know Tums and similar chewables have long term side effects. This is definitely something I would recommend to anyone that doesn't have a major medical problem and just experiences general discomfort after normally sized meals.

I have pancreatitis and gastroparesis so anything that helps me feel better seems like a miracle. I'd given up taking digestive enzymes for the most part since they sometimes made my (unrelated) reflux experience more unpleasant, but I got a sample of Enzymedica's "Digest" and liked them so I bought those, and added this product, also by Enzymedica, on a whim. I am glad I did. I love that I can take one of these *after* I eat, and get relief. It has never failed to make my stomach feel better; less acid, less reflux. I don't take them with every meal, just when I get that "uh oh" feeling shortly after. I am already taking Prilosec OTC and that does the job for heartburn most of the time, but the Acid Soothe are great to have on hand when the Prilosec just isn't enough, and I like the natural ingredients and the small capsule size.

This product has been beneficial to me time and again. This is not my first purchase of it. I keep it on hand all the time because I can get an upset stomach and/or heartburn quite easily. I deal with IBS. This product seems to go to work quite fast at repairing the problem and makes my life (and tummy) much more comfortable quite quickly. I plan to continue using it. I do believe Enzymedica is a good company. It is also a convenient product to take along when I go away because it is combined so it's like taking a whole arsenal of nutrients to help if I get sick while I'm out and about.

Some of the ingredients in this formula I have used on their own and although they are helpful in that manner, they do not have the same effectiveness as the combined product. I love that the company does not add other ingredients to the formula. The only thing it has is the vegetarian capsule. I highly recommend the product and will continue to purchase it for myself.

This is a great product. Periodically I get heartburn and Acid Soothe works wonders--not as fast as the over the counter remedies, but within an hour or so. If you want to get away from the commercial products, this is a good one to use.
