Overall, I really like this exercise pen with just a couple of minor quibbles.

Pros:

Folds up very neatly, latches together securely, and is easily carried with the handle.
Having the door makes it a lot easier to manage going in and out.
Well constructed, and the black wire looks as good as it can.

Cons:

The three gate drop latches are difficult to line up. I can usually only get all three to drop in after fussing with it a while.
The way to separate the panels to make a long line instead of a circle was not immediately obvious, and the skimpy instructions were no help.

The bottom line - would I buy another? Yes

first time with a small puppy (pomeranian)and someone recommended an ex-pen to help with potty training. after checking out the different ones and reading lots of reviews, i went with this one. and let me tell you, i was NOT disappointed. nice size for the puppy AND to close up and take with you to hotels etc. love the fact it has a door so if he wants to go in and out we can let him. looks nice~ for a pen in your house. very good product for the value.

I borrowed one of these from a friend before buying one. They are sturdy, easy to set up, and keep my two dogs out of trouble when I'm out of the house. The sections can be folded over and held together with nylon wire ties to make the playpen as small as two feet by two feet without actually disassembling it. Mine is set up in the kitchen as a two foot by four foot area with a soft dog bed for the dogs to sleep and lay down. I also picked up a cheap mat/rug from Costco and used a bunch of nylon wire ties to attach the pen to the mat. It works great. The cage now keeps it's shape and I can easily slide it across the floor or rugs.

We have left our Boston Terrier (17 lbs) in this pen all day inside our house and she does great! It is very spacious for a small dog, we put the bed, food/water, toys...it was her little house and went in on her own. It folds very compactly. She has not tried to jump out; you can put the lightweight cover on (sold seperately) if that's an issue. We now let our dog free within the house during the day, but as new dog owners, this pen was a lifesaver in the adjustment period since we couldn't crate her for that many hours and were also dealing with seperation anxiety.

I purchased this product to protect my Christmas tree from two very nosy kittens. It seems to be solidly constructed with no obvious defects and the black color is pretty unobtrusive. The height is ample to contain small and probably medium sized dogs. It has nice weight to it, but I don't think it would contain energetic pets of any size without being anchored down somehow. By the gate there is a long rod with a small nut at the bottom that can be unscrewed to release the rod and open the pen into a straight line (we needed pliers to get the nut to unscrew). It's not obvious that it is a nut but if I had actually looked at the instructions in the box, it would have saved me a couple of minutes.

I bought this for two purposes. The main one was to block the 81" opening from my kitchen into my dining room and second was as a pen to take with me when I go camping. The best feature of this pen is the fact that I can position it in numerous ways. As a barrier, I can position it in a "T" and have a section that I can swing open and close (it's two panels back to back); plus the base of the "T" acts as an anchor so the fence doesn't fall over. Of course a larger dog (my dog weighs 6 lbs.) would be able to knock it over, but I can place a chair on the weak side of the fence to prevent this. Haven't used it camping yet but I like the fact that it is completely portable (with a handle) so that I can cart it easily.

I originally purchased this gate from Petco.com thinking I got a great deal. Instead it ended up being on backorder for 2+ months and I was back at square one. Then I found it here and I got it just 2 DAYS LATER!!!!!! It's worked exactly how we needed it. We've attached it to our dog's crate so he has a bigger space to play around in while we're at work.
The human walk thru gate works well for us to go in and out. There is a decent sized threshold though, so our dog (mini-dauchshund) has a hard time getting in and out of the human door. Instead he just uses his own little crate door instead.

I bought this for when we go camping. We have a 30 pound mutt and a 50 pound German Shepard mix. The cage is really tall which I like but it is not very sturdy on its own. With 1 dog in it the cage was knocked over within about 2 minutes. We ended up having to make it a rectangle and stick it between two picnic tables and bungy cord it down. I think it could be better with stakes but we haven't tried that yet so I will have to update after the next camping trip.
