Like the previous review stated, two 'C' batteries are required, and that adds more power!:o] The base has a dial with speed variation from low to high. It feels very smooth and the girth is a great size. If your looking for a quiet, small, discreet vibrator, then this is NOT the one to purchase, but if your looking for a strong vibration, then this is nice.

After switching to 110 volt toys (plug -in) this is pretty much the only battery operated one we still use . Takes C batteries and that, my friends, makes a huge difference. We like that fact plus it's versital. The first one lasted nearly 4 years with heavy use so we got another. Believe it or not , it has pulled double duty because due to its shape and smooth texture it works pretty well to roll over sore muscles. No , really.
