STANDARDIZED NATURE'S WAY HAWTHORN IS SERIOUS MEDICINE FOR CARDIAC & CIRCULATORY AILMENTS!

WHAT IS HAWTHORN GOOD FOR?

According to "HEALTHNOTES", Hawthorn may be useful for the following ailments; Congestive heart failure, Angina, Cardiomyopathy (if congestive heart failure is also present), Cardiac arrhythmia, Cardiomyopathy (if congestive heart failure is not present, & Hypertension.

KNOWING YOUR HAWTHORN:

This standardized Hawthorn is serious medicine for cardiac and circulatory ailments. The problem though is "BERRY". According to most but not all informed sources, modern medicinal extracts primarily use the leaves and flowers. Traditional preparations use the fruit. The Berry is the fruit. In this "Nature's Way" product it is standardized from the "tops" and "flowers", but also has 300 mg. of the crude herb added, for balance. This blend is unique to "Nature's Way", and I do feel this product is the most beneficial for cardiac health, from my personal experience over several years.

Bear in mind if you have the misfortune of having "congestive heart failure" or "angina" the specifics of the Hawthorn's composition can hardly be considered a trivial matter.

Next, standardization! Standardization for what? This "NATURE'S WAY" product is "standardized to 1.8 - 2.2% vitexin" from "leaves and flowers". Even where it is grown affects whether it is more useful for cardiac problems or arthritis and other chronic ailments. This is serious stuff and these are very easily confused issues, too easily confused for someone with a potentially fatal chronic heart ailment to be fiddling around with at home without proper medical supervision.

started taking these as a replacement for my blood pressure meds. Took about 2 weeks to be effective. My dosage ended up being 2 caps in the morning and 1 in the evening before bed.

I've since switched to Mountain Rose Herbs version of hawthorne caps. They're slightly cheaper and 100% organic. I get the same results with those caps.

I take a second product called Cardio~Juvenate+. That lowered my BP big time but there was still some fluctuation. I took this for three months. I think had I taken it longer it would have made a difference but I prefer a pill. It was easier for me. Stopped and tried Hawthorn alone. However the Cardio Juvenate did get me off my meds. It is another great product. My husband prefers this product. It is a powder he adds to his water and takes to work. He HATES pills. It has taken him from Two blood pressure medications to none so, yeah, it works. It does need some stevia in my opinion.

I took Hawthorn for three months and it also lowered my blood pressure.(or kept it lower and off meds) I take one pill three times a day. I think this is very powerful and really works. My original PB was 175/110. After three months of Hawthorn my bp ran 140/70. I have been taking this Hawthorn now about nine months and my bp runs pretty consist 130/70. I'm good with that!!

I have been taking this product for a few months and it works really well. I had tried another product, but my BP started to rise again. I am now back on Nature's Way - Standardized Extract and after a week my BP is returning to where it was before I stopped taking this product. Quality of a supplement does matter. Foolishly I thought I would save some money, but it wasn't worth the savings.

I know this can be a dangerous alternative to taking prescription drugs, but I had discussed this with my MD and she gave me a green light to try it. I don't think she believed it would help and frankly...I don't think she gave a hoot one way or another, but seeing is believing and when I came back for a check up she was embarrassed to admit that it did make a difference without taking the script she prescribed that nearly landed me in the hospital from the reaction.

I would advise to discuss this with your doctor before embarking on this particular adventure. Any time you try a supplement you always need to make sure it is safe for you.

Switched from ordinary hawthorn extract caps to these standardized ones after doing online research. Not only do I need to take fewer capsules daily but they seem to work as well and at a comparable price, so a step in the right direction to keep my stubborn cardiac arrythmia at bay!

This Nature's Way product like others says it's standardized but when you get it, and look at its ingredients, only 300mg of it is standardized and the other 200mg of Hawthorn isn't. This is a very deceitful practice and I'm finding that this is a common problem with so called standardized anything.
