In the video I try to show you the size of the sticks because I see a lot of questions on this site and others about how big they are. I have fed these to large 9 inch goldfish and also small 2 inch goldfish. The sticks soften in the water as they float so all your fish will eat. If they are too big at first they will spit them out and then eat them when they soften a bit.
Price: It would take appx 7 or 8 cans of 5.29 ounces to get what you get in this bag. For the price of the big bag its well worth it. The bag even has a "ziplock" style seal. We have been using these sticks for 4 years now and our goldfish love them. We have common, fantail and shubunkin. They all devour these things.

I've been using these sticks for a while and boy do my fish love them. The Variety Blend is my preferred one because of the mix it offers - Pond Sticks, Koi Vibrance, and Wheat Germ Sticks. My fish are all healthy and go nuts when its feeding time. I'll admit - I used to purchase this same bag at certain brick and mortar pet stores but once I saw the difference in price on Amazon, it was a no-brainer.

Our 4 now adult very healthy (and seemingly happy) fantailed goldfish really like this food. We've bought different brands over the years and keep returning to this one. The ziplock top is a real bonus for keeping the 2 lbs. fresh. Our pond fish are not pets that we try to train or have entertain us. We are pleased to enjoy them enjoying the best environment we can provide, which includes constant monitoring of that environment for cleanliness, nutrition and general health. i.e. we care and respond to their needs. If we pass the pond or even linger, they don't really notice us - which is fine with me, as they are busy doing their thing with each other as fish. However, I do delight every morning at feeding time, when they always swim up to the surface and over to me to receive a handful of their Tetra Variety Blend. This is the only pond fish food they've ever responded to so enthusiastically. One other reason I care is that these 4 are the great grandchildren of our original 4 who constantly bred so quickly and in such great numbers that we had 40 of several generations at one point and had to constantly find good pond homes for most every year in order to keep them all and the medium size pond healthy. We rarely lost any to to death and disease, but it was always an issue to worry about - for their sake as captive creatures. After about 8 years, we finally got it down to these 4, with a place of 24/7 health, peaceful harmony and equanimity.

Tetra Pond's products have never failed us. This is the first time I've used this particular variety of koi food. The fish love it! I'm sold. As a note, I'm in S. Florida so it rarely gets cold enough to not feed the gang. Last winter was the first time I've had to withhold food, but this winter has been mild. I decided to try the Variety Blend and it's been a huge hit.

Great price. We have had the same 6 koi now since 2009 and they have survived winters and summers here in New England on this food. They are large, healthy and vibrantly colored. We would never dare use any other food.

ps. my rule of thumb is... if they come up to eat (and its somewhat chilly out) feed less, but feed. It prepares them to survive the cold winter under ice. But I have also noticed this food is great for all seasons! The warmer months I feed them twice a day, about a 1/8 cup a time. Our pond is approx. 9' x 5' with a waterfall and we keep 2 airlines AND the PUMP running ALL YEAR! It helps break the ice and the fish can safely live outside in the cold. Best of luck with your fish!!

Great for Koi and goldfish. Tetra has always been my favorite choice for Koi and Goldfish food. Tetra has been around a long time, way before some of the fancy new brands you hear today. These are just the perfect size and the fish gobbles it up. They are not hard like some pellets so the fish will not spit it out. As soon as it hits the water, it softens up and makes it easily digestable for the fish.

These are great! The fish come to the top of the water so you can see them. When I give them food that does not float, they rarely come to the top of the water. Once I start feeding these floating pellets to my fish, they refuse to eat other brands. Picky Fish!
