I use two stones in a 5-gallon bucket to aerate the compost tea I brew. With a small standard air pump, they provide plenty of aeration; enough to interest my cat, who could not resist pulling out each stone, one by one, and playing with it.

This product is heavy for its size. It's also pretty big. It creates a lot of air coming from my fusion 700 pump. I would recommend this for anyone who's looking to do some heavy oxygenating in their water for any purpose.
