This net works fantastic for my 2.5 Gallon Fish Bowl. I'm able to slowly get my quick Betta inside and transfer him out to clean the bowl.

The net is great quality and sturdy so you don't have to worry it breaking. This is a small net so it's best fit for small tanks, for me I have a fish bowl so this is perfect!

Pretty much does the job for me.

I really dont know why we never got one of these big nets before. Not even the most crafty escape artists are a problem with this thing. Even the fast skittish fish are in it before they even know you're after them. Moved a whole school of mollies yesterday and they were all in it with this in one 5 second swipe. Also good for quickly getting out accidentally dumped in flake food before it contaminates the whole tank

I was looking for something to clean the silt out of the bottom of my artificial fish pond. I needed a net with a very fine mesh and a relatively sturdy handle. This is just about perfect. It doesn't catch the finest particles when they've been stirred up, but it does grab them when they're piled at the bottom of the pond. I wish the handle were a little longer, but it's pretty sturdy at least. I'm thrilled I found this net for so cheap; I thought I was going to have to drop ten bucks or more for something that I would then have to modify to work properly.

This net is great except I made the mistake of getting it too short. My 50 gallon tank is 24 inches tall and I should have gotten the longer net. My hands get wet, but I don't mind. I use this to grab baby fish, snails, lava rock.

Pros: 1) Strong handle and netting, can grab parts of a heavy lava rock and still hold shape.
2) Fine mesh is great for grabbing small things like baby fish and baby snails

Cons: none

I purchased this net to catch living fish from my tank and transfer them to buckets. I was moving a short distance, but wanted to make sure I got them all out of the tank. The net size is great for catching both larger fish, and large numbers of small ones.

This is the same as any net you'd buy at a pet store, just significantly cheaper on Amazon. The handle is bendable if you need to get into some interesting angles, and the mesh is very fine. i usually stand the net up on the handle (rubber area where you hold it works well for this) leaning it against something that can't be damaged by water so that it can dry after use.

Great net, and for the price it's a bargain.

The net opening is aprox. 10 X 6.25 inches. Looking at the diagonal it is just about a foot. It has a relatively strong handle it could be a bit beefier because the netting is a very fine mesh . I am working with pond fish so I could use the mesh about half as fine but in the average aquarium, it should be good. Overall, this is a very good net for aquarium use, at a great price.

Excellent net and the best I've had for cleaning/skimming my hot tub. I've had several other nets over the years but the net mesh was always too large for small particles. This net allows you to get just about everything, but because the mesh is so small you have to skim it through the water at a much slower speed, but it also catches more. Overall I'd give this 5 star rating for a net to clean/skim a hot tub!
