I bought this at my local Wal-Mart because it was the only hermit crab food available. I opened it up and wanted to vomit I mean it was my fault for not reading the label that it was freeze dried shrimp so I'm not rating it poorly for that. My hermit crabs wouldn't touch it. They need a more user friendly package too. It's full to the top and the shrimp are little so it's hard to get a controlled amount. Plus, the food has to be dampened with water before the crabs can eat it. Considered that crabs aren't huge eaters it's kinda hard to dampen dead shrimp and not expect it to mold before the crabs to get to it. The label is misleading when it says premium hermit crab food. A crab can not souly live off of dried shrimp this is more of a treat item. Imagine buying a bag of dog treats for your dog and used that as his only food source. It's the same as this. Buy it if you can think you can handle it.. But you've been warned.
