I play a Gibson J45 as my main axe. I've tried all kinds of strings and in general do not like the coated versions that have become popular. The Gibson came with a set of Gibson strings on it naturally, but I still tried a bunch of others. I play every day, but ALWAYS put a new set of strings on when I play a gig, and if doing several gigs in a short period of time may only let one set go for two outings. So, I am willing to spend money to get the sound I want. However, I want them to deliver too and these strings just do. They have that right blend of bottom end and punch I want. The J45 is a rosewood version and it begs for that full sound that these strings can deliver. They feel good, they last (if I put a set on and don't gig for a couple of weeks they hold up to daily use), and they have a good balance of tension and playability. So, for this guitar and another similar style guitar these are my strings of choice.

I'm not a heavy handed picker. In fact, I rarely use a solid pick. Everyone said, don't use these strings they'll wear out too fast. I could care less about that. For me, it's all about not tearing up my fingers, and getting great tone out of my guitar. These are all I use now.

Used these strings on a Gibson jumbo. The initial sound quality was fairly good, but after a week of moderate playing, the strings had to be retuned frequently, especially the B. I won’t be buying these again.

I used to use martin strings but not anymore since I discovered the gibson strings these sound awesome and seem to last longer.
These are hands down the best non coated strings on the market.

Strings have a nice tone and are easier on my fingers than the higher gauge strings. Use Gibson guitare strings on all my guitars.
