The best resonant head you can buy!

I've used these heads for over 10 years on a variety of drum sets and a variety of 16 Inch toms. From hanging toms to floor toms with legs, they work great on all of them. Any time I have a drum that has anything else it never quite sounds as good as these and when I change the heads to G1 clear heads they always sound way better . It's the perfect balance of sustain and cut.

I've tried using EC Resonant and Resonant heads too from Evans, but I felt like there was too much sustain on them. These work great.

I'm sure they would work fine as batter heads as well. I just personally like two ply batter heads: G2 clear, G2 coated, or EC2.

Evans Drum Heads

Best sound available - I have used both Remo & Evans over the years (since 1970) but ALWAYS find Evans heads to be easier to tune, better sounding, and a more durable solution.
On my Ludwig Keystone kit (oak & maple shells) & Pearl Export Select kit I use coated G2's on top, clear G1's on reso side (toms), EMad on batter and reso on bass drums, coated ST on snare batter, Hazy 300 on reso side. (wood snare 2.3mm hoops)
On my Pearl Masters Series Mahogany kit - clear EC2's on top, Genera resonant (reso side) on toms, EMad on both sides of bass drum, coated G2 snare bater, hazy 300 reso side (wood snare) (all hoops die cast) coated G1 snare batter with hazy 300 redo (metal snare, 2.3mm hoops).

I'm using this on the snare side of a Noble & Cooley 5 3/4"x 13" Alloy Classic snare drum with puresound wires and an Evans Hybrid snare batter on top.
Sounds really good and will order again.
What can I say? Evans quality and US made are the reasons I buy.

The Best Head

I absolutely love this head! i use these all the resonate heads for my toms and this go around i used it as my snare batter. and WOW!! i absolutely love the sound i get from these heads! on my snare i have it tuned about a half-step below the reso and i keep the snares on the tight side and the sound is just amazing! and with the toms, i like to pair it with a EC2 on the batter and just wow! this head is one of my favorites!!

***Great Drum Head for Kid Drum Kit ***

My son has a red De Rosa kids drum kit, and my son cracked the head of the snare drum and I replaced it with the Evans G1 Coated Drum Head, 8 Inch. It worked perfect and he's back drumming again. Just wanted to let everyone know they work as great replacement heads on the kids kits.

Really good snare head for the price

I thought I would try this head for my Steve Jordan 13x6 1/2 snare and it worked out really well. It gave me that crisp crack that i was looking for and for the price it was a good buy. I would definitely recommend!
