The product sometimes will clump around the valve, so my daughter will have to rub excess away before she plays. Other than that, the finished slide action works well. With the stick applicator, you have less control to the amount of product that you can apply to the valve

This slide grease is really thick in cold temperatures but offers the best protection and longevity of any grease I have used. I suggest it for slides that are not supposed to be moved easy such as tuning slides. It has lanolin which acts like a water proof barrier and helps prevent the discoloration of the slides (a huge plus). The only suggestion I would have to make this product better is a better applicator. I would prefer this product in a chap stick style tube but I deal because it is worth it!

I like how this product is nice and cheap. Not to mention how convenient it is to apply to my instrument. It shipped in a very pleasant amount of time and was a great purchase. It was the envy of my friends who had to smear slide grease on with their fingers. The only issue with this purchase is that their is not enough in the container. I had to get several of them to actually last. This is especially a problem because i play the Horn. That thing has like twenty different complex valves that have to be greased.

In conclusion, the product was mostly a success and I would definetly consider purchasing this product again.
