I saw this in my Quick Picks, so decided to try them with my three parrots. They used to eat junk food but got them to start eating Harrison's. The biggest problem with Harrison's is they're quite expensive, costing almost $5 a pound in 25lb quantities (in 1 pound bags, they cn cost $10-12.

So we're giving these a try. So far no complaints.

One thing I must point out to any bird owners. Many people think if their bird eats pellets, that's all they need. Imagine if you had to eat the same thing, day in and day out. So if you get your parrot eating any pellets, augment their diet with other good food like fresh fruits and veggies. I also give my guys junk food, but in limited quantities. A few sips of a milkshake, fruit juice, s bit of cheese or Ginger Snap keeps them happy.

But for the price, Roudybush Bird Food was worth a try. I think they are based on corn, but have added ingredients to make them healthy.

I'm, or rather the birds, are apparently satisfied with this purchase.

My birds are finicky (aren't they all). I tried this food for several of my parrots to see if they liked it better than the Roudybush rice diet that has been in massive shortage this winter. The ones who did eat it has a change in their stools for the worse. I was not happy with the loose droppings or color. They had access to both their old foods and the new one, so I can say they seemed to like the taste better. But that doesn't do them much good if they get diarrhea from it. So back to the rice diet, normal stools again, and some very happy starlings outside who finished off the bag of this food.

Excellent product. Have been feeding my three birds for years with this product, fresh fruit and veggies and sunflower seeds. They like variety. Some will say that you should give them this only. I don't agree and their vet says they are very healthy.

Great balanced diet for parrots. My Meyer's parrot has a sweet tooth and tends to prefer fresh fruit over fresh vegetables. I also give him a dried fruit, vegetable and nut mix, but he tends to pick out and only eat the fruit. I often find him holding a Roudybush pellet and nibbling on it though, so I know he is getting a balanced diet and not surviving on a diet of just sweet fruits.

Highly recommended by the sanctuary where we adopted our two Amazons. They were on the diet when we got them so they were accustom to the pellets. We also offer a seed mix with lots of stuff in it like dried fruit, other types of pellets, etc. Fred and Broccoli clearly seek out the Roudybush at times. The small is a good size for them Tried the medium, but there was more waste and it seemed to be harder for them to eat. Something is good, as both birds are healthy, no plucking, great feathers!

Its actually not me that likes it, but my African Grey. Interestingly, like another reviewer mentioned, he seems to like the smaller, skinnier pellets better than the pellets made for his size bird - I think they were the "mini" size.

Personally, I like Roudybush as a parrot food. It's definitely better than just feeding seed alone, but should also be suppplemented with fruits, veggies, and some seed. I give it a 5 in terms of quality. No rainbow staining poop.

However, the conure I was feeding it to didn't like the pellets as much as I did (this was to be expected versus yummy fatty seed). Another thing to consider with pellets is when munched apart they turn to dust. When your bird goes to stretch or flap you will most likely get food dust mess. Also expected.

African brown headed parrot loves Roudybush pellets. He is the same size as a Senegal, so he eats the small size pellets. Took right to them when I bought him home at 5 months. Thriving at 3 year. Fresh water and fresh fruits and veggies.
