Don't be deceived by the unimpressive small physical appearance. I was recommended this device after trying a number of other mediocre products (some costing considerably more from bigger vendors). This little dorky thing runs rings around them ! I also replaced a number of (doorstop) Netgear FVX538s with them an could not have been happier.

Config interface is NOT for the faint of heart, but the complexity reflects its versatility. The granular control over routing, load balancing, and DMZ servers is better than most others I have tried. Most importantly, it keeps going. In 2 years I have only needed to manually reboot it twice, once after a brown out.

This firewall has an excellent set of features and pretty powerful hardware for the price. I have been testing it on firmware v4.00 for about 3 weeks now. Its logging and alerting settings are some of the best I've seen. Our 3des VPN tunnels to a high-end Cisco PIX have been very stable. ICSA certification is a plus and documentation is pretty solid.

I tested or researched many models from Netgear, Linksys, Cisco, Sonicwall, and Symantec before finding this unit that did everything I needed. Support (phone or email) actually gets you to someone knowledgeable. I think this unit is a great choice for small LAN/WANs up to 100 users or so.
