This is a great basic kit for those who need all the basics. Tape, current detector, cutter, stripper, fuses, phillips and flat head screwdrivers, all sort of connectors and even some extra wire. This is something everyone needs at home just to fix basic stuff!

The only complaint that I have is that the wire cutting/stripping tool was kind of cheaply built but I have three really nice ones besides that so I do not care.

Size: 285pc Multi-Use Electrical Repair Kit Verified Purchase
This is definitely a get what you pay for product. The connectors feel a little cheap, and there is not a lot of tape, but still a fairly solid kit for the do-it-yourselfer. It is perfect for around the house small projects. I used it to repair some wiring in my car and it has held together great. The raods we drive are very rough and the connections have not failed yet. The case it came in is also great and has plenty of room to add your own stuff. As things run out I will be replacing them with better quality, but for now it is a great little kit. The shrink tubing it comes with is terrific and the gator clips appear to be of a good quality. They will also fit a standard multimeter, which comes in handy. The crimper tool is lower-quality, but they are usable, mostly. I would consider this an easy-bake oven for the home electrician. It's simple, but if you have enough patience, it will get the job done.

This was a great little set. The box it came in was fine and the tools and pieces that came in the kit did the job. There is room to add items if you want and you can let someone borrow it without having to give them your good stuff. You should buy a few of these and place one in your car and one in your boat or RV.

It has all the basics in one convenient package. The crimping tool looks good, but the jaws twisted a bit while crimping. I use a pair of pliers and bent it back just a bit further than center and it works fine now.

I own several of these kits. the plastic box it comes in is junk but the pieces easily fit into a clear plastic tackle box. I put one in my boat, one in the truck, and one in the garage. This has everything you need to make electrical repairs.

KIT ARRIVED WITH 2 BROKEN HINGES ON 1 SIDE AND THE LID BROKEN ON A CORNER AND BOTH BROKEN HINGES ON THE SIDE, SO THE KIT WAS ACTUALLY 2 PIECES THAT CAME APART INSTEAD OF 1 THAT FLATENS OUT TO A 2 PIECE. I WASNT EXPECTING MUCH OUT OF THIS KIT SINCE YOU COULD TELL IT WAS CHEAP LOOKING BUT GAVE IT A SHOT. THE BAD PART IS I DIDNT GET ANY RETURN LABEL SO I GUESS IM STUCK WITH THIS PIECE OF CRAP

The 2 sided flip out case is nice so you don't have to flip back and forth. The tools are not top of the line, more WalMart, but seem okay and usable. Not really and excess things I won't need, like over sized wire nuts or butt splices. Overall worth the money and will be handy in the RV.
