I used one for volume and another for tone when rebuilding my tele. Installation was a breeze and the pots work well enough. All said and done, my playing doesn't warrant spending more money so it was the right choice for me.
Included capacitor for tone use was a nice bonus and was perfect for vintage fender guitars

I bought the solid shaft by mistake. These are excellent controls. The only difference from a split shaft is that you must use a set screw on the solid shaft knob.. If a split shaft is used, it can be pressed on. I use a set screw on all the knobs I make. The 250K is primarily used with single coil pickups. When it says "Fender" on the label, be assured, it is good stuff.

I bought this one because it was made by Fender who made my guitar. It was as advertised and in Fender packaging with parts as shown. My local supplier must take the parts out of the package before he sells them. I installed them in the guitar I bought them for and the chrome knobs fit fine and the pots work the same as the split shaft ones I took out. Very happy for the price.

Works well, have been tried and test gigging and taking a few knocks without a failures or scratchiness.

The solid shafts do seem to be a little sturdier but if I were to do it again I would probably go for a the knurled ones with metal over plastic knobs as the vintage setup with solid shafts and screw on, all metal knobs is a bit less refined feeling. Its heavy, yet quick moving, which makes it feel a bit awkward. But that's totally pedantic to most people I'm sure.

In case anyone was curious, these pots are manufactured by CTS, part no 019064. The included tone cap is a .1uF.
