Made in China, nothing against Chinese workers, but government Quality Control is basically non-existent in most (if not all) factories. You roll the dice when you buy electronics with Made in China. I have, and I have known others who have bought Made in China equipment in the past and it works without an issue and for a fraction of the price of a Made in the USA product. But, more often than not, most of the Made in China electronics and accessories fail prematurely. Not to say a Made in USA product won't be defective, just less likely due to the extra Union QA workers. You know the QA inspector that inspects the QA inspector's work... lol. Also, the warranties are better and RMA process easier with Made in USA products.

Worked fairly well at first, possibly less life than the Nikon version (did not run controlled tests). I always rotate the batteries as I use them and always verify they have a full charge before use (Li-ions slowly discharge over time), I charge any depleted batteries after each use (normally the same day). I also carry a DigiPower Charger and the supplied adapter with it's cable supplied from Nikon to charge both batteries if needed.

I charged this battery maybe 8-10 (roughly)times and I have had it for less than 1 year. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra money on the Nikon version. I bought this one because it was part of a special bundle sale. My Nikon EN-EL5 is still taking a charge and working flawlessly. I am wishing I would have purchased another Nikon EN-EL5. Hopefully my Nikon battery does not do the same. :(

Anyone who has a Digipower battery of the same type that has lasted 1 year plus, we welcome your feedback. Until then, avoid this brand of batteries! (FYI: Li-ions should last 3-5 years max from date of manufacture, regardless of amount of use)

I originally thought this was a good buy. It did not hold power as long as the original Nikon battery, but it is much cheaper. However, I soon found that it began to lose power *very* quickly. Even more important, it started to stick in the camera and was very difficult to extract. This happened with two different Nikon cameras (P80 and P100).
