I bought these to replace the stock strings that came with my Dean12 string. The tone and intonation are good, which is a characteristic of D'Addario strings in general. I might try a lighter set next time, but these play ok.

Had been using Elixer strings...costly and did not seem to hold up as well as they say...well, I play 4 or more gigs per week next to the beach, salt air... So, I thought I would try these. They are a thinner gauge and I like that as the 12 string over works my fingers. The sound is thinner than Elixers but these were also less than 1/2 the cost... so far, so good 2 weeks into to these...time will tell, but I think I will continue to use these for my performance near the ocean. Dam 12 string takes an hour or so to restring with a power tuner tool...Stienberger headless takes 5 minutes.

D'Addario are with out a doubt one of the top 2 or 3 string makers out there...and they make plenty for others who put their name on them as well- if you have a problem with these strings as far as quality goes, then sadly my friend it's YOU. Any idiot who claims they break when putting them on needs to put down the sharp objects and let someone else do it (and get their guitars checked out for burrs on the nut, saddle, tailpiece or tuner). Sound quality and such is always an arguable point, but for as many years as I've been stringing guitars for a living (and it's a LOT you young whippersnappers) you can't go wrong with the brand or the quality. Highest recommendation..

Excellent strings, D'Addario's quality has always been even and reliable. Of course, there are other excellent options but I usually wind up with D'Addario on all my guitars.

I got these for a messy friend who does not take care of his instruments and they retained their sparkle far longer than I expected them too. D'Addario is also the only aftermarket maker of calibrated Steinberger double ball end guitar strings that I care for (although GHS makes a great set of double ball end bass strings).

No one sells 12 string electric in my town....... wow
These went on a BC Rich Bich Double Neck, they fit notice without any issue, bright sound. I usally play Elixirs and wish Elixir still made a 12 string electric set of strings.
4 stars because they are not Elixirs other then that they are good strings

excellent value if your looking for a decent set for your electric 12. Why I'm writing this review is due to the fact I've noticed a couple reviews complaining that EXL150's are "bad" or "terrible". I have to disagree! I've been using these for years and NEVER have one "just break", or "break during installation". I suspect the broken strings are due to installer erro, not the strings, as it can be rather confusing stringing up a 12 if you're not paying attention.

my only "complaint" I have is that they changed the packaging recently, I sort of miss the old look.

not great strings, imho. but, they are the most reasonably priced. here in sofla, no matter who makes 'em, unless the axe is kept in A/C, they'll last about 3 months. my epi dbl-neck does not play acoustic strings, and at 3-4 changes a year ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
