As soon as you get this hat in your hands, you can start noticing that is built with the best materials and the best design. a lot of my co-workers asked me where I bought it, so looks that it is attractive too. I've been using it for over a week and after some incidents with stainless steel parts of the production machines I work with, I can tell that this hat really protects. Not a single incident with it. I recommend it.

It's not often I give high marks to safety equipment. "Why do I have to wear a full-face respirator and lead-lined gauntlet gloves to change the batteries in the lab smoke detector?" "Why do I have to use triple containment and a separate air space to transport kitty litter?" "Requiring 6-decade laser goggles for the wavelength of the alignment laser while the alignment laser is in operation makes it difficult to see the alignment laser." Those are my usual comments about safety equipment. Anyway, back on topic.

The ERB 19302 Omega II Cap Style Hard Hat with Slide Lock, Glow in the Dark hard hat does everything a regular hard hat does: protect your head, make you bump into 900% more objects because your head is 3" taller than you're used to it being, but with one distinct advantage: the thing GLOWS IN THE FREAKING DARK!!! Yeah, it really does. Even better, you hit it with a standard 405 nm laser and it lights up like Christmas making out with the Fourth of July from 500' away [1,2]. The only problem is I can't actually see how awesome my head looks in real time without just staring at the lab CCTV, which is supposed to be used for safety and security purposes only. I am the envy of everyone required to wear protection. How many of you can say that? Buy it. Buy it now before I buy them all and there aren't any more left to buy.

1. I cannot find 405 nm lasers to be as widely available as they were when I first started doing this. I suspect the same safety jerks who require the full-face respirator for the smoke detector battery replacement may be behind this.
2. Enticing your coworkers to shoot you in the top of the head with a violet laser from long distances must be done with extreme caution.

This is a hard hat. I haven't been unlucky enough to have something drop on my head so I cant' say how well it works, but I feel confident that it could stop most smaller objects. For less than $10, it does the trick.

Purchased this for my son's Halloween costume (Emmet from the Lego movie). Seemed to be the best and most affordable option I could find online. I like that it's adjustable on the inside. It fits my son fine. It's a little bulky, but not too heavy. I can't speak to how good it is for something other than a costume, but it's great for our needs.

I was one of two females that worked in an auto shop (that did oil changes)
When we went in to the bottom pit we had to have a hard hat or "bump cap" on.
None of the ones we could order would fit my head, every time i looked up or down they fell off.
I found this one, and it met all the safety standards. After I received it, I took it to work the next day.
It worked GREAT! Not to mention I could also "lock" my safety glasses on the sides when i was not using them.
I recommended it to the other female that i worked with, and she loved her's as well.

This hard hat is extremely comfortable, the inside has white ribbons connected to a gray adjustable headpiece that can be expanded or retracted to fit almost any different head shape. I have a really large head, so I was happy that it could accommodate! The ribbons on the inside can also be adjusted so that the hard hat sits higher or lower on the head. Overall really happy with this purchase, and the price was amazing too!

I'm not a usual hard hat wearer, but in situations where I have to, I prefer a pink one. This is a great hat, sits tall on your head, so beware of you're not used to it. But its comfortable and easy to fit on your head. I highly recommend this.
