An excellent product, overall!, March 28, 2007
THis swing has really been a life-saver for us. I started putting my son in this swing when he was 2 months old. At that time, the motion would calm him down most times. At 3 months, he started noticing the lighted mobile and the revolving fish on the mobile. The music goes off after the swing has run for some time. A really useful feature, since the baby is asleep by then.
This product requires 4 D type batteries. The batteries would last me an average of a month at a time. I was pretty happy about that. I would buy the duracell brand of batteries, since they last the longest on this swing.
Disadvantages:
(1) Requires a lot of floor space.
(2) The legs, if not placed right, cause the whole piece to swing from side-to-side along with the motion of the swing. It requires some trial and error to figure out the right position for the legs.
All in all, a very good product. I would highly recommend this product.

Love it, February 27, 2007
Pros: Mobile, 2-way capability (cradle and swing motion), multiple sound choices, lighted dome
Cons: Eats up batteries, mobile gets off track
I love this swing, even with its flaws. My son was in a regular swing before this and it didn't do anything for him. However, when we got this swing it was a life saver for our colic child. He seemed to be soothed by the cradle motion moreso than the swinging motion. When he was about 2 1/2 months he became really captivated by the mobile and lighted dome and talked to it. I like the option of being able to switch from swinging to cradling because sometimes one works better than another. The only thing is that it does use up a lot of batteries. I would suggest investing in a D battery charger because if you use the swing enough, it will pay off. Another thing is that somehow the plastic piece on the mobile is offset. This causes it to make an irritating sound every now and again when it comes off track. Other than that I love it and most importantly my son does too!

Definitely a keeper!, January 5, 2007
My daughter loves this swing! We didn't get it until she was three months old, so I'd spent the first three months holding her for every nap, which was okay because her sleep was more important to me than conforming to cultural pressure to have her sleep in a crib against her wishes, plus it was wonderful bonding time. However, I was ready to try putting her in a swing for naps, and this did the trick. She had rejected sleeping in the Graco Lovin Hug swing, which we now just use in the kitchen as more of a seat so she can participate in family activities. Anyway, having only nursed and/or rocked to sleep prior to having the Ocean Wonders Aquarium Cradle swing, she immediately welcomed falling asleep to the side to side motion. She doesn't particularly care about the fish, but then again, we only use it as a sleep association, not a babysitter or playtime activity. We've had it for about a month now, and she still falls asleep in it in less than six minutes with no crying! Usually, she will sleep in it for up to 3 hours at a time! I even place her in it at bedtime, then move her into bed with me when I go to bed.
It is tricky getting her in and out of it. We don't even use the tray, just the buckle. And my only other regret is that she may outgrow it soon. I wish the swing was a little larger to accommodate her long torso...her head is only 3-4 inches from the top, and I wish it had a 30 or 35 lb wight limit so we could use it longer because we love it so much!
We are so happy with this swing and believe every baby needs THIS swing! It is such a gentle way to help your baby sleep. Plus it's a great way to keep babies heads elevated for sleep when they have colds. Such a winner; I just wish we could use it beyond the 25lb weight limit!
