I needed a light for one of my indoor palms that was in a dark corner of the room and was showing signs of having difficulty due to the lack of light. I actually found this light at Walmart for $16.95. It works wonderfully, I have it on the floor but also have the option to hang it on the wall on a picture hook if I choose. Best part is that you can get replacement bulbs at Walmart in the lighting section for around $2-$3. I would recommend this light option for your indoor plants.

I ordered these lights because I love to grow indoor plants but don't get much direct sunlight into my house. I like the fact that they have an on-off switch (rather than being controlled by the plug) and they are very bright and even add some warmth for my plants. However, the blue coating on the lights that is supposed to help simulate sunlight has already started flaking off, less than 2 weeks after my purchase. For $20 a piece, I would expect better quality than that. Fortunately, replacements bulbs can be bought at Wal-mart for $3-4. Overall I would say that these do provide good light and heat for your indoor plants, but they are fairly expensive and lower quality than they should be for the price.

I bought this to support growing house plants in a window-less office. I originally wanted to put it on the floor, but actually, you can't get a good up-right angle with this light; it's probably not appropriate to place on the floor (which is why I'm giving 4 stars rather than 5). The angle shown in the photo is about as high as you could possibly point it.

However, a surprising advantage of this light is that it can easily mount to a wall using a standard push-pin--like the kind in cork boards. So I borrowed a push-pin from my cork board and pressed it into the drywall. That ended up being very convenient and effective.

This product is perfect: it is adaptable to many ways to set it up, it was inexpensive and the price includes the light bulb! The first one I received did not work at all. When I contacted Geroys, they immediately replaced it. I was surprised at how quickly I received the replacement and did not have to return the broken light!!! That was wonderful! Now my plants have the light they need this winter. I hightly recommend this product.

I live in an apartment and I hate opening and closing my curtains so they just generally stay closed all the time. I know plants help clean the air, so I turned my study into a study/greenhouse. I have this light going on a timer and my plants are still going strong, they keep growing! I think I have had to change the bulb 2 or 3 times (so almost a year between.)
