The Sun company 201-F Lev-o-gage Inclinometer and Tilt Gauge is an excellent product. I use two of them in my Jeep Rubicon for quantitative off-camber pucker factor and for vehicle nose up/down attitude when going over obstacles. The gauge is large enough that the indicator ball is easy to see and provides smooth function as vehicle changes attitude. The ball is suspended in an oil like liquid that provides good damping and smooth operation. The double sided tape provided easy installation. I installed one on instrument panel between tach and speedo (for camber on 2004 TJ Rubicon) and pitch gauge just to the right of camber gauge on side of center dash (side of air vent) for pitch angle. The 45 degree scale is adequate except for some climbs/descents at Moab.

I have used other gauges but they were small thus hard to see, had sluggish operation, and only had 30 degree scale.

This inexpensive but highly effective device instantly displays the angle of tilt of your vehicle. It requires no batteries and simply installs with adhesive tape. Stop guessing if you are close to the limit!

Easy peel and stick installation on the center of my dash, just above the radio. The bottom part of a round speedo or tach bezel is a natural location, but too often there are important lights here that shouldn't be covered up. The BB in the vial reacts smoothly and not too fast, so it doesn't get the jitters on a rough road. I took a thin sliver of yellow reflective tape and marked the 40 degree line on each side of the dial, which is where my Hummer may get a little iffy. Now what would really be cool is if the green background was luminescent like a watch dial, so you could see it at night.

very accurate and gives me a sense of security while off-roading. it is critical to know your degree of roll when playing off-road. my land rover is designed to drive safely at a 45 degree roll angle and this device keeps me aware.

I purchased this porduct for my sailboat as the old one finally fell off after 30 years.
It's a no brainer, low tech, solid piece of American made equipment.

I got 1 for side to side angle on my tractor and 2 for both directions on my mini-excavator. They do exactly what I want them to do... show me the tipping angles are not nearly as bad as they seem to be. Highly recommended.

This is a pretty robust inclinometer. The tube is plastic; there is a little bit of oiliness on the outside, but it doesn't look (yet) like it's leaking. As soon I got it, I popped it into the freezer (kept at 0 degree F), because I was hoping to use it on ski slopes. Even after many hours sub-freezing, it worked fine, except maybe that the fluid got more viscous. It is intended to be used in cars, and cars are often left out in cold weather, so I thought everyone would be happy to know about this. There is a little air bubble inside the tube, which gets bigger when cold, but it doesn't interfere with the metal ball bearing's movement, since it floats into a corner. It weighs 21 g, 0.7 oz., nice and light. 3.5" wide and 1.625" tall, 0.375" thick.

I am considering returning it, however, because there is a chance that I would land on the plastic tube, break it, and spill the oil all over my pocket. I will probably switch to the Brooks-Range version, http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0060C3X5Q , since the tube is enclosed in that one. It's larger and heavier, however, and more expensive, so I might take my chances with the Sun Company version. At worst, I'll have to get a new coat, which, you know, is not the end of the world.

I haven't tried the adhesive, which is on the rear side of the gauge. It's meant to be stuck on a vertical surface. You will need a level to independently measure the incline of the car before placing this device. If you have a truly vertical surface, you can use this to measure pitch or roll. The plastic body (two pieces of plastic held together) is solid enough and hollow enough that it will probably tolerate a screw or two or more, which is what I'll be using.

This inclinometer is Ok. It works slow and hard to mount. Yes it has two sided tape so it should be easy to mount. The problem was to work right it needs to be vertical. It can't lay flat. The bubble in the level will not move. I almost sent it back but I made a bracket.
Now it works Ok. I'm thinking of getting something else.
I mow a large hill with my John Deere tractor that is about 18 deg. So I don't want the tractor to tip over.
