I just used my Planters Peanut Oil, and I can tell you that it is, in my opinion, the best oil in the world. This is not an exaggeration either. It not only cooks perfectly, it is the healthiest oil too. It takes the high heat, often needed in cooking, and remains just as delicious as before it was used. It has no chemicals, or "foreign" materials, and that makes it very healthy for all of us. I didn't notice any peanut flavor in it, the oil didn't stick to my food after it was cooked, and the flavor of my food was actually better than when I used other oils. Planter is now my first choice in oil, and I'm thrilled that I purchased it.

Available in local stores for a much lower price, this is one of the best cooking oils. For sauté, deep fry, curries, pickles, and salad dressings, this brand works very well. It can also be used as a conditioner for skin and hair. This oil has almost no smell. For those who like the smell of peanuts in peanut oil, there are other brands that smell very good.

This is the best oil to cook with. It has almost no peanut smell. Other peanut oils have a heavy peanut smell that colors all food being cooked with. The texture is also lighter than other peanut oils. I do Chinese cooking a lot and this oil is just right for stir frying. I also use it to deep fry and this oil is perfect for that as well.

Planter's Peanut Oil, indispensible for proper blintz's and for many of my own recipies, has diappeared from local supermarket shelves. It's been around for almost 100 years, and Planters still makes it in quantity, they say. And I want to make potato pancakes again, please!

There are other brands, both in house at Safeway and the like, and across supermarkets,but their taste is indistinguisable from Crisco oil. My Aunt Nettie--she is with God, rewarded for her good deeds and her good Kosher cooking, she must be--my Aunt Nettie, who taught me how to make potato pancakes that even Grossinger's would envy, never used anything else. What's this world coming to???
