This is a great alternative to butter in certain recipes. Sprinkle on hot foods like veggies, seafood or chicken for a butter flavor, without the fat and calories. I would recommend it to anyone trying to cut back on real butter.

I've switched back and forth between this and Land O'Lakes brand, and I keep forgetting which one I like better so I've concluded that it must not really matter. I don't use butter, so I shake this up with some garlic salt into my popcorn and it does the trick for me. But I'm not trying to mimic actual butter mind you, I'm just trying to add a "buttery type flavor". If I was used to eating real butter I might not like it, who knows, but I haven't had butter in years so this seems fine to me. I think it's somewhat overpriced but that's my only real complaint.

I've been trying various seasonings for popcorn. Some are fairly good, although they all tend to be more expensive than the ingredients would warrant.

This one was a huge disappointment to me. Very little flavor to it, so I kept adding more, and more, and more, but there was just no flavor there. Color yes, but no flavor. I even tried it by itself, mopping up some of what went to the bottom of the bowl onto my finger. Nothing.

Low fat. Low calories. But what's the point if there is also no flavor? The Kernel Season's butter flavoring has a lot more flavor to it.

As far as popcorn seasoning goes, the best I've found so far is to make my own using nutritional yeast, onion powder, garlic powder and since I like it hot, some cayenne pepper.
