I initially bought this vitamin for my cat who had renal failure but have since used it for abandoned anemic kittens and my other cats as well. As the other reviewer said, they sure do not like the taste...but I've found that most cats do dislike any liquid product that contains iron. The upside is that you use half as much Hi-Vite as, say, Liqui-Tinic. I have no complaints about Liqui-Tinic but the fact that my cats have to take less Hi-Vite to get their vitamins and iron means less fussing.

My sweet dog came to me through a rescue. I committed to making his food daily because he has eating issues. Many years later he still goes through periods of struggling with it. This product was recommended to supplement his food intake. I have to put it directly in his mouth otherwise he will not ingest it. I feel it's worth the effort because he seems a little more energetic after having it. If you have a pet that is a very picky eater or eats sporadically I recommend it. This product gave me some peace of mind that he is getting balanced nutritional support. My french bulldog loves it and she has no issues with eating!!

This is a great product. I use it for cats that need an extra boost. Stray cats or sickly cats or even older cats sometimes need a bit of iron and vitamins especially if they have been infested with fleas. (fleas bite them and suck blood which can cause them to be anemic).
