This product helped prolong the life of our dogs when they were in their last months of life and could barely eat, so we would feed it to them in a syringe to help keep their energy up. It breaks my heart just thinking about it..but do buy it if your pet no longer wants to eat anything and feed it to them in a syringe (with no needle attached of course) that your local vet can provide. You may have to mix it with some water..and just gently squeeze out a bit at a time slowly into the sides of their mouth in their cheek area so they can swallow slowly. Good luck to you.

Showed this to my vet and he said he'd never give this to an animal. It contains Propylene Glycol, which has been banned for use in cat food and there was also a lawsuit brought against Beneful for using it in it's dog food. Now I'm stuck with a $60 jug of stuff I wouldn't risk giving to my dog. Wish I'd have known this before purchasing it.

I initially purchased this product to make my own Albon formula to treat puppies for Coccidia, and it is perfect for that. The sulfadimethoxine required for treatment tastes horrible to dogs and you can't even mask the flavor in food, but a mixture of 4:6 of sulfadimethoxine to Dyne makes a very palatable solution that is easy to administer to puppies. Dyne has a great flavor that puppies enjoy, so it is also useful in making an Amoxicillan suspension for puppies too young to take pills. The puppies will actually lap this up from bowls in some circumstances. If I have any kind of bad tasting medications to administer to puppies in the future, Dyne will be my go-to product to get them to take the medicine. No more having yucky medicines spewed all over me by puppies!

I can see this working for some animals, but my boxer hated it. I think it must have too strong of a vanilla flavor. He would not even take it with water (it makes a milk like liquid). If it were peanut butter flavored, I am sure this review would be much better.
