Love these - very high quality. Actually saw them on a cooking show on tv the other day. VERY heavy (quality product). I did have trouble getting oil hot enough to cook meat in a timely manner. Probably need a larger source of heat. The meat cooked, oil was hot/bubbled, but not like I've seen it in restaurants and took much longer.

Excellent with cheese or chocolate - smooth, even heat due to quality material. I highly recommend this set - well worth the $$. I bought both the square blue and round red sets.

First item: The pot was chipped and the flame container handle was falling off. The pot was very poorly packaged, with the items loosely wrapped in tissue paper, but not protected from banging against each other in any way. I returned it, which Amazon was very good about, and Amazon shipped a replacement item.

Second item: This time the pot came with a chipped lid. One positive note: the packaging was much better this time -- the items came wrapped in lots of bubble wrap.

Third item: Once more, I received a broken pot that came poorly packaged. At this point, we called Amazon, described our problems and asked if there was anything they could do to make it less likely that we would get a broken pot. The customer service representative did not understand what we were asking and sent us another pot without understanding that the issue was possibly a) poor packaging and/or b) a bad shipment of pots from the supplier.

Fourth item: The lid came chipped. While Amazon was good about returns (although not about understanding our request to see if anything could be done to better ensure a quality pot), this was a huge hassle. We ultimately decided to order a different pot.

I did alot of searching on Amazon.com for a fondue set and fell in love with this one. The design is beautiful and sturdy while the color looks great. The only negative was that one of my ceramic bowls broke during shipping. I contacted customer service immediately and they were not able to send new bowls since this came in a one package deal. They did, however, refund me some money for the issue which I plan on using for new bowls. Also, it says in the product features that it comes with "safety Swiss fondue fire gel" which I don't believe is correct. Atleast, I didn't seem to come with it which was fine because I purchased the Swissmar Fire Gel from BB&B in my town (which also works great!)

I used this pot the very next day after I received the item in a fondue dinner night with 6 friends. It worked wonderfully! I used it for cheese and chocolate while using a second pot for the meat portion. For the chocolate fondue I put the whole pot on the stove, melting the chocolate, then transfered it back to the fondue stand.

You might think that the price is a little too high compared to other fondue sets on here. However, I do believe in the saying "you get what you paid for". I am certainly not a great cook and I don't plan on being one either. This pot is easy to use and easy to clean. I believe this item to last me quite a long while and no matter what phase I go through it will always look great, stylish, and contemporary.

Makes a great fondue!! I've used it three times since getting it and I'm very pleased. The construction is better than what you usually get from China. It cleans up very well since it's coated with the ceramic.

The 4 small dishes were packaged badly. Despite being buried in the middle of the box, they arrived broken with just a thin piece of non-corrugated cardboard between them.
