worked great on my GM compressor. Note when reinstalling the clutch and using this tool, be sure to FULLY screw the middle bolt all the way onto the a/c center bolt. (you will see) if you don't, you will strip the center a/c bolt and be screwed. ask me how I know....
so when you get the old clutch off- wire brush and test fit the tool onto the center bolt--get it all the way onto it so you don't pull/strip it out during re-install.

worked great- the "black" tool on the right in the pic fit my GM compressor.

lots of videos on the interwebs on clutch replacement-- its not a bad job if you have access to the compressor

Awesome tools and well constructed . I have used a few of them on International ac's as well as a few gm's. The case makes it nice to keep them in and I might not loose them as easily as other tools.haha. Overall a great product at a reasonable price ,would buy them again if needed to.

I thought these would be cheap tools and not last, but they are good tools and did the job extremely well. I work on rusted AC units here in the Boston area because of all the salt they put on the roads here in winter, and these tools worked just fine on the rusty compressors that I thought there was no way to get apart. I recommend these tools to the happy shade tree mechanic for a reasonable price.

I bought this kit for use with GM V5 compressors so that I could perform a reseal of the unit in anticipation of a hot summer. The tools are what I expected and appear well enough built for their task. I only needed to use the "black oxide" tool for use with the V5 to remove and reinstall it's clutch which went very smoothly. This kit will remain invaluable as I have other compressors that this kit can work with.

My V5 compressor was making the classic "clang" or rubbing noise w/o A/C working or engaged. Used this tool to sneak out the pulley/clutch assm as to not make unnecessary noise and heat just driving the car. Seen this kit used in a few vids online. Only used one time and I suspect I'll use at least a few more times before I abandon side jobs. Good price and solid tool.

Astro tools are always a good bang for the buck. This kit is no exception. Sometimes the clutch assembly can be very difficult to remove from the compressor. This tool cuts the removal time to almost nothing on a R/R job.

I used this tool kit on a 1990 GMC K3500 1 ton truck.
In general the tool worked well. The removal went well
with the metric GM tool. The installation of the clutch
plate was a bit more difficult requiring several 1/2" flat
washers for spacers as I pressed the clutch in place.
The operation was a success.

Put the GM pieces through their paces a few days ago and I was gratified to find the tool was of quality steel.

Well worth the money for the driveway mechanic, when you consider the cost of replacing the entire compressor vs the pulley assembly, a job that cannot be done without this tool. Highly recommend buying a clutch 'holding tool' to use with it.
