Adult rabbits (one year and older) need a timothy based rabbit food-not alfalfa. Timothy hay should be the top ingredient. This stuff is really expensive- for the same price you could get Oxbow which is probably considered the highest quality rabbit food available. Also, sunflower or any other seeds can be dangerous for rabbits. They can cause intestinal blockage or G I stasis which is an extremely painful condition - a bunny's poos will get tiny or stop altogether. They can die from this without medical attention. Below is some info from the nonprofit rabbit dot org.

Do not feed your rabbit any of the many commercial pellet mixes that contain seeds, dried fruit or colored cereals. These commercial treat foods are geared to look pleasing to us humans, but they are definitely not in the best health interests of your pet rabbit.

What are the basics of a good house rabbit diet?

An adult rabbit's diet should be made up of good quality pellets, fresh hay (alfalfa, timothy or oat), water and fresh vegetables. Anything beyond that is a "treat" and should be given in limited quantities.
What makes a good pellet?

Pellets should be fresh, and should be relatively high in fiber (18% minimum fiber). Do not purchase more than 6 weeks worth of feed at a time, as it will become spoiled. Pellets should make up less of a rabbit's diet as he or she grows older, and hay should be available 24 hours a day.
What kinds of veggies should I feed my rabbit?

When shopping for vegetables , look for a selection of different veggies--look for both dark leafy veggies and root vegetables, and try to get different colors. Stay away from beans and rhubarb. Here's a suggested veggie list.
Is feeding hay important?

For a listed price of $2,200 you sure can't beat $13 for the same amount. Wow, best cyber Monday deal I've come across. Plus my rabbit loves this stuff, regardless of it's full of seeds that other person says she shouldn't eat. I've been buying this same brand from pet stores for years and she's never had any sort of GI problems. Good thing this is america, and we can do what we want.

My girlfriend has a bunny, and this is the only kind of food she'll eat. It seems pretty good for her, although we've been trying to get her to eat more greens in addition. But no matter what else we put in the cage, she always expects this stuff. Highly recommended.
