I much prefer the c cell size to direct traffic. It is lighter and fits my hand better. I did convert it to LED for longer battery life, With the slip on red cone it helps keep me from getting run over.

Like all the maglights I have owned, this one gives great light. I like that I can change the pattern from spot to flood, and that it is all aluminum. It doesn't rust or break (like the plastic units) I bought this one in C cell size as it is a bit smaller than the D size and fits nicely in the door of my truck.

Great flashlight!! I just happened to get it the same day we had a huge storm & tornado sirens going off....the batteries were easy to install, it has a good weight (lighter than you would think from the size of it but still substantial) not to big or heavy for my small hands. My old one had a 'twist to turn on' but this one has a button, I like that. Good light output.
Perfect for what I needed!

Maglite makes the best flashlights available, bar none. I've had a large 4 D Flashlight for 12 years, and it has never failed me. The selling point is that you can adjust the light from broad to almost a pin point with just turning the head! I have dropped my larger flashlight numerous times, and it just keeps on shining! Do NOT get lured into buying an LED model. The light shines little black spots all over, and they have no range. This light is perfect for around the house, or in a emergency car kit, camping, fishing, whatever. And the price is much lower than the inferior LED flashlights. Highly recommend.

Works as you would expected. Size is just right, not too big, not too small. I bought this flashlight as an "excuse" to use some of my extra C batteries.
Also I live in an area where the occasional power outage is not uncommon so an extra flashlight is lays handy.

Have been using 2 of these c cells for five years inspecting aircraft. I install nite eyes 1 watt LEDs with pure white light. The 2 C cell mag light is renowned and rugged, and with the pretty much shockproof LED in lieu of a bulb - it's near indestructible. The 2C light is just as brite as a 2D cell, but much lighter, fits my back jean pocket without all the weight and bulk of the 2D. I just purchased 3 more for home and auto use because they beat and outperform all the Chinese crap out there on the market hands down.

This flashlight shipped with a different style bulb, it looks like a mini-mag bulb with an adapter base. It's a xenon bulb, which is good (higher output than the standard krypton bulb). The problem is that the metal retainer is slightly too small to accept a standard drop-in bulb, like a LED (my particular one was Dorcy's 30 lumen replacement bulb). I had to file down the retainer to get it to fit.

Bottom line, not the greatest if you are planning on upgrading to a LED, otherwise the stock xenon bulb is an improvement.

Great flashlight! In fact, I would say this is the perfect flashlight because of the bright light that's adjustable to a smaller or larger area you need to see, and because the handle is virtually non-slip. I intend to get a smaller one to put on my key ring.
